Indie makeup kingpin Jeffree Star is as famous for the drama that surrounds him as he is for his liquid lipsticks.
But now, some of Jeffree Star's "fans" are calling for a boycott of his brand β for the weirdest possible reason.
The drama began when Star revealed his two brand new metallic liquid lip colors.
Oh… did you think he'd do the name reveal and the shade reveal on the same day? Silly rabbits; any good businessperson knows you drag that noise out for as long as possible.
According to Jeffree, the ~mysterious~ darker color, No Tea No Shade, was named after all of his friends who have appeared on "RuPaul's Drag Race."
He's especially close with Laganja Estranja and Adore Delano β but truly, all hail Mama Ru.
But it's lighter shade Pussy Whipped that has caused a major makeup meltdown β though not for any of the reasons you'd think.
People are pissed because of the name.
Yes, really.
Jeffree Star Cosmetics is known for its tongue-in-cheek names β Kat Von D even called him out for promoting drug use with lip colors like Drug Lord and Blow Pony β but, according to social media, the word "Pussy" is a bridge too far, sir!
While Star's social media team seems to be deleting nasty comments as quickly as they appear on Instagram, here's a sampling of what I've seen so far.
"Pussy Whipped" is a blatantly misogynistic name, and considering Jeffree's history of misogyny, I'm not surprised that he would make that kind of decision."
"SO GROSS WHY WOULD YOU RUIN A GOOD COLOR WITH AN OFFENSIVE NAME."
"he can name his products what he wants, but if he wants to be taken seriously he should have given more thought into what would be more politically correct. I for one will not be purchasing these products."

Now, people are calling for a boycott of Star's brand over this "insensitive" name β even though being controversial is literally Jeffree's ENTIRE SCHTICK.
His channel is entirely beauty with a side of shock value. Dude talks about his pussy all the time.
Star even had a song back in the day called "We Want Cunt," for crying out loud.
So it's kind of surprising that THIS NAME is the hill his "fans" want to die on.
There are LOTS of reasons to object to Jeffree Star: his racist past, his thin-skinned reactions to fans, his allegedly dodgy past business practices. And yet naming a lipstick "Pussy Whipped" is the last straw?
Out of EVERYTHING, a sexually-charged name is what the world has the major problem with?
Star hasn't yet addressed the controversy, probably because he's smart enough to know that it'll only be good for business.
Haters staying mad is the best way to drive sales. Who would buy a lipstick when they can buy a CONTROVERSIAL lipstick?
Though he *did* subtweet the entire low-tide world...
