Throughout the many years it's been available to buy, the palette has remained a favorite among Sephora customers and has even been given a new cream iteration for those who hate pressed powder contouring.
This weekend, the brand released a few new versions of the palette. Shade + Light minis are now available for you to buy if you never use your entire full-size palette — or just don't want to spend the big bucks on it. Take a look at each new miniature palette below.
That's correct — Kat Von D released not one but three new palettes over the weekend.
The new palettes hit Sephora's site on Friday, and almost no one noticed a dang thing. It was an extremely quiet release on Kat Von D Beauty's part.
The new palettes are three miniature versions of the beloved Shade + Light contour palette.
Each palette contains one highlight and one contour shade like each panel of the original Shade + Light palette.
The mini palettes come in three shades, all of which you can find in the full-size version.
These miniature palettes are basically the light, medium, and dark sections of the original Shade + Light palette broken up into three tiny, cute pieces. Oh, and they're like half the price of the original palette.
You can purchase the palettes at this very moment from Sephora or from Kat Von D Beauty for $23.

If you're fair to medium with pink or peach undertones (or just like a contour that's super subtle), this is the shade you're going to want to buy.

Medium is great for fair skin with yellow or olive undertones or medium skin tones with neutral undertones.
Deep ($23, Kat Von D Beauty)
Deep is obviously best suited for medium to deep skin tones or anyone who likes their contour really, really sharp and bold.
If that's still not floating your boat, you can even buy a blank miniature palette for $8 and customize it with whatever contour combo you please.
This way, you can have the lightest highlight shade and the deepest contour shade if you want. Or the deep, peach highlight shade and subtle fair contour shade for extra warmth. This palette can be whatever you want it to be, really.
If you opt to buy the customizable mini palette, you'll have access to a ton of highlight and contour shades that aren't in any other version of the Shade + Light palette.
