Every Person Who Watched The Video For Kylie Jenner’s KKW Fragrance Thought Of Peanuts

If there's something the Kardashian-Jenner sisters like more than making money, it's making money together.

All of the family members have collaborated in some way or another — Khloé Kardashian and Kylie Jenner have two makeup collections together, the Jenner sisters have their own clothing brand, and, finally, Kim Kardashian West and the family billionaire have paired up for a new fragrance collection.

The Kylie Jenner by KKW Fragrance has been in the works for some time now, but development issues caused a months-long delay in its release. Now the two announced that the three fragrances are dropping on August 23 by airing a slew of promotional tools.

Unfortunately, the marketing tool had a different effect and made people want a Snickers bar as opposed to wanting a new perfume. The lip-shaped bottle looked like a peanut in the promotional video, and Twitter didn't hold back.

Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner are finally dropping their fragrance collaboration.

The sisters have been planning these lip-shaped fragrances for so long it seems, and they're finally dropping. The line was supposed to release in April, but did not pass durability tests, so they had to postpone. Jenner announced on her Instagram the release date: "Wow the 3 most BEAUTIFUL scents are finally dropping!!! Kylie Jenner x KKW Fragrance collab launches Friday, August 23 at 12pm pst on KKWFRAGRANCE.COM."

The KKW Fragrance Twitter account shared the video, but it didn't look like nude lips as they had hoped.

The video graphic for all of the different-colored bottles showcases the exploding lips into even smaller versions of themselves. It's a hypnotic video, with a rhythmic beat in the background that is cool, but with the nude bottle, it doesn't look anything like lips — it looks like a million tiny peanuts. A quick scroll through the replies on this tweet or on the same Instagram video proves that it's a universally agreed-upon consensus.

Immediately people thought of peanuts, not perfume.

"I was wondering why all those little peanuts turned into a big peanut," one person wrote. Upon further inspection, when the bottle is standing still, it does look like Kylie Jenner's unmistakable pout. But when the lips pour out of an undisclosed container, it totally looks like a waterfall of nuts.

The marketing confused some who thought maybe it will have a peanut scent, though that was unlikely.

Some though maybe this was a purposeful, if not bizarre, choice based on the scent of the fragrance. One person tweeted, "Is it supposed to have a nutty fragrance or?" Unless Jenner and Kardashian suddenly had a craving for PB&J, I can't imagine this was the desired effect of the video.

All of a sudden, I really want a Snickers or PayDay.

One person simply responded to the video with an image of the peanut candy bar PayDay. A commercial for the candy bar features a huge pile of peanuts that looks suspiciously similar to the Kylie Jenner by KKW Fragrance. They're so alike that it almost seems as if the promo video for the new perfume was inspired by the peanut coated caramel candy bar.

Could have sworn someone was going to come out and offer Kim Kardashian or Kylie Jenner a Snickers bar.

"This isn’t a Snicker’s commercial?" one person asked in a reply. Honestly, the entire video would have made a lot more sense if the sisters walked out arguing and then made up after both ate a Snickers bar just like the candy's marketing technique. Instead, people were left wondering what kind of fragrance they could expect from this peanut perfume.

The perfume comes in three different bottles and fragrances, but none are "peanut" scented.

The three different perfume bottles all hold a different fragrance curated by the sister duo. The Red Lips holds an Opulent White Floral scent, the Nude Lips smells like Vanilla Amber Musk, and the Pink Lips feature a Solar Floral Coconut. Each bottle costs $40, or purchase the entire bundle for $110.
