Man Demands a Divorce When Exhausted New Wife Refuses Sex on Wedding Night

Our wedding days are beautiful and fun, but can be downright exhausting. Although they are often billed as uber romantic and the perfect setup for a sexy romp, the wedding night doesn't always end that way. Sex can take a lot of work, and sometimes after a marathon day, the newlyweds crash into bed and save the physical intimacy for the next day.

A bride named Rachel was tired after her wedding festivities and just wanted to rest, much to her husband's chagrin. The next day, he was so bent out of shape that he told her he wanted a divorce. Rachel called into the Hot Nights with Abbie Chatfield radio program, and her story stunned the hosts.

The couple wasn't waiting until marriage to sleep together.

Rachel explained she and her now ex-husband had sex before they were married, so it wasn't like he'd been waiting for that moment forever, and she suddenly changed her mind.

"We were tired," she said. "I didn't want to. And the next day, he wanted a divorce."

Two weeks later, the couple separated.

Chatfield said, "What a revolting man." We couldn't agree more.

It's not uncommon to fall into bed in a heap on your wedding night.

Chatfield said she has heard of plenty of people who didn't have sex on their wedding nights because they were exhausted. We've heard the same story. And it's not a big deal. This marriage is about forever, right? Not just the wedding night?

Cohosts Jimmy Smith and Nath Roye, agreed with Chatfield and Rachel and thought her husband was just a dog.

Let's face it, wedding nights aren't always that romantic.

There were plenty of TikTokers with stories of their own wedding night shenanigans. Ladies, we know taking off the dress and undoing the hair is not for the faint of heart.

"My husband was too tired after unbuttoning the 300000000 buttons on the back of my dress to get me out of it so romantic really," a bride joked.

"My husband helped me with my 83 bobbypins then I passed out drunk in my dress still while he showered ," someone else commented.

"I face planted the bed while my husband picked hair pins put of my hair ," another bride wrote.

Now, that's the kind of husband we all need.

But there were some TikTokers who agreed with the groom.

Even though he went about it in a pretty horrible way, he deserves to be happy, just like the bride.

"He avoided a marriage of sexual frustration based on mismatched libido," a TikToker pointed out. "Biggest cause of marriage angst and infidelity. Good call."

"Honestly if he can't even get laid on his wedding night that relationship is doomed," someone agreed.

We really hope that this one is just a terribly misogynistic joke: " her fault. Vows are to obey."

The whole thing is a nightmare.

Whether you are team Rachel or backing her husband, they both dodged a bullet here. Thankfully, they realized early enough that they had different priorities. Better to know now than to waste a lot of time building a family and future with someone that is a better fit for someone and clearly isn't your happily ever after.
