By now, you know all about microblading, the semi-permanent "tattooing" procedure giving everyone eyebrows on fleek. News flash: There's a new brow in town.
1. Microfeathering uses the same semi-permanent tattooing method as microblading, but there are a few key differences between the two.

2. The procedure was created by Kristie Streicher of STRIIIKE, a beauty studio based in Beverly Hills, California.

3. Like microblading, microfeathering creates "hair-like" incisions that deposit semi-permanent pigment into the skin's outermost layer.

4. But unlike microblading, it isn't designed to create an entirely different brow shape — it's more just a way to fill in sparse areas and accentuate the natural shape.

5. Streicher even recommends growing brows out for at least six weeks before sessions.

6. Which creates a much bushier look than traditional microblading.

7. So if Cara Delevingne and Lily Collins are your #browgoals, look into microfeathering.

8. Added bonus: It's usually cheaper than most microblading sessions.

9. Probably because it's a lot less time-intensive than microblading.

10. Streicher only charges $120-$200 per session at STRIIIKE.

11. Whereas full microblading sessions can cost more than $1,000, depending on your specialist and location.

12. And it gets better from there — microfeathering usually doesn't take more than 30 minutes.

13. Microblading takes, on average, two hours per session. Yow.

14. But microfeathering still requires a qualified professional with the right tools and a steady hand.

15. So anyone considering it should do their research before having it done.

BRB, calling up every salon in my area.

Bye, microblading.
