Troye Sivan And His Boyfriend Are The New Faces Of MAC Viva Glam

In 1994, the MAC AIDS Fund was established by Frank Angelo and Frank Toskan, co-founders of MAC Cosmetics. The fund was created with the intention of providing HIV/AIDS relief for all of those affected by the disease. To raise money, the Viva Glam collection was created, donating 100% of the proceeds. Since its inception, Viva Glam has become one of the biggest beauty campaigns of all time, featuring iconic faces such as RuPaul, Nicki Minaj, Elton John, and Lady Gaga just to name a few.

But this year the brand is not only adding variety to the faces of the campaign, but it's also expanding its reach past just HIV/AIDS relief. Influencer and singer Troye Sivan is one of those faces, and he, along with his boyfriend, are making a stand for LGBTQ+ rights.

This year, MAC is adding Troye Sivan to its ambassadors list.

In celebration of the 25th year anniversary of MAC Viva Glam, the OG makeup brand has added YouTuber/singer Troye Sivan to its long list of influential ambassadors. "A cause extremely close to my heart  @maccosmetics," Sivan shared on his Instagram. "#VIVAGLAM campaign w mans — Here’s to 25 years of making a difference! #MACambassador."

And his boyfriend, Jacob Bixenman, is joining him in the moving campaign.

The pair that's been together more than three years struck a pose in celebration of the quarter-century milestone and standing up for equality. "@troyesivan and @jacobbix glam for the acceptance of the LGBTQ+ community. What do you GLAM for?" asked MAC on its brand Instagram.

The brand has put together a diverse and dynamic group of MACtivists.

"Our diverse community of #VIVAGLAM change-makers – like @troyesivan, @jacobbix, @carlisha_gizelle, @leat, @ageofaquaria, @dara._, @theartofbradley and @parkerkithill – are sparking a movement toward changing lives everywhere," MAC wrote. The brand has also expanded its reach to include the health and rights of women, girls, and the LGBTQ+ community with a slew of other young changemakers.

The proceeds will continue to benefit those in need and reach an even broader audience.

Selling its signature lipsticks that have been around for decades, MAC has included a brand-new shade in celebration of 25 years. Ahead, check out the lipsticks available for a limited time, and you're going to want to get your hands on the packaging ASAP.
