A father’s quick thinking saved his child, but it may have also killed another man in a recent incident that occurred in Beverly Hills, California. After an unknown man made an attempt to grab the father’s young child, the dad sprang into action. The two men got into a tussle, and somehow, the father stabbed the attacker.

Police are still investigating details of the altercation.
According to the police, one of the men “confronted” the other man who was walking with his child on the street. Witness Sommer Janssen told KABC that a couple and their young daughter were walking when a man tried to grab the child. Then the dad tried to fight off the man. The Beverly Hills police’s post noted, “the victim stabbed the suspect, and both individuals sustained injuries.“
Another witness shared their story.
A good Samaritan was driving by when he witnessed the altercation between the two men, and pulled over to help out.
“We realized we needed to do something,” he told KTLA. He told the outlet that he pulled his car into the intersection where the altercation was happening, which startled the suspect. The suspect then turned his attention towards the man, who identified himself as Brian to KABC, and tried to pull his dog out of his car.
The man was seemingly in an altered state.
“He’s in the car. I’m punching him. I can see his face and he’s just not present,” Brian told KABC. “He was clearly having a psychotic break or something, some kind of drug reaction.”
Brian was eventually able to get his dog’s collar off, which caused the suspect to finally let go. He then revealed that his vehicle rolled through the intersection and into a hedge as he fought with the suspect. “He stopped at that point and then he went in and was banging on the windows of an apartment building,” he said.
Police are still investigating.
According to the police, the suspect was taken to the hospital, where he died from his injuries. Currently, authorities are still looking into his exact cause of death. Police are still investigating the altercation, but made it a point to say that this seems like an isolated incident. The other man is cooperating with the investigation.
