An Alabama woman with a history of domestic violence charges against her has allegedly stabbed and killed her boyfriend. Jennifer Heathcoe, 31, and Taylor Rawlins, 33, were reportedly involved in a domestic dispute at an apartment complex on Sollie Road in Mobile on August 22. Police responded to the Charleston Apartment Homes and found Rawlins dead from an apparent stab wound.
Heathcoe and Rawlins had a tumultuous relationship, Fox 10 reported. At the time of Rawlins' death, Heathcoe reportedly had a warrant for her arrest related to a December 2023 domestic violence incident with Rawlins. The case has police reminding people anyone can be a domestic violence aggressor.

Rawlins and Heathcoe appeared to be a happy couple.
By all accounts on social media, the couple seemed to be in love. Heathcoe, a labor and delivery nurse, maintained an active online presence on Facebook, where she posted as Jennifer Nicole Cain, and on TikTok as @lady..savage. Rawlins also shared photos of himself with Heathcoe, most recently updating his Facebook profile picture to one of the couple and their children on August 18, just four days before he died.
Behind closed doors things seemed to be less picture-perfect.
Fox 10 reported that an investigator with the Daphne Police Department said Heathcoe was arrested in December on charges of domestic violence against Rawlins. The pair were reportedly at a bar when the incident occurred. The mother failed to appear for her scheduled court date and had a warrant out for her arrest.
Women aren't the only victims of domestic violence.
Blake Brown, a public information officer for the Mobile Police Department, told WKRG that people need to remember anyone can be an abuser.
"In most domestic cases, it involves a female victim. In this case, it involved a male victim," Brown explained. "So, it's not just females who may be seeking help."
He added that men should not be embarrassed to ask for help. "Men also can reach out to the police department to support groups for help if they feel like they're in a situation they can't get out of," he said.
It's a devastating situation.
Brown told WKRG that Rawlins' death had a dramatic impact on both families.
"It's tragic for both sides, for the victim and the subject's family," he said. "So unfortunately, this is another one of those cases where I'm sure both sides' families knew each other at some point and may know of each other."

The news shocked the community.
Many took to social media to share their heartbreak.
Chykeetra Maltbia wrote on Facebook about an exchange with the couple right before Rawlins' death. "Exactly one week ago today, Emmette and I were assigned to greet at the front door, and we had the pleasure of meeting the people pictured below. We even shook hands with Taylor & Jennifer. Taylor accepted the Lord Jesus at the end of the service," Maltbia wrote. "A few days later, he was killed. The details of this tragedy will not be glorified on this post. This post is to glorify Jesus Christ because h— lost another one!!!Taylor Rawlins is with Jesus, and while his earthly life was cut short, his life was spared from the devil's h— by a decision he made last week."
