2-Year-Old Girl Says Her Missing Teen Mom Was ‘Sleeping in Blood’ in Chilling Statement

The family of a teenage mother who seemingly disappeared last week in Georgia fears she may be dead. Gabriella Dixon, 18, was last seen on October 30. Her mother, Gaby Searcy, didn't hear from her daughter for a couple of days, which was highly unusual and concerning.

When there was no contact by Halloween, the worried mother filed a missing person report with the Bibb County Sheriff's Office, which released a photo of Dixon and asked for the public's help on November 1. But as the days have passed, Searcy is now terrified that her daughter is dead.

Dixon's toddler reportedly said something strange.

Searcy never heard from Dixon on Halloween but saw her grandchildren that day. The kids had allegedly been with their father, Reginald Harris, and he brought them to Searcy's home for her to watch them. She told WMAZ that her 2-year-old granddaughter allegedly grabbed her knees and said her mommy was "sleeping in blood." This scared Searcy, who decided it was time to call the police.

"I ended up calling the police around 2:30 p.m., or 3 p.m. between that timeframe because I was trying to confirm. OK, I called my children first. My older daughter, they go to Fort Valley 'Hey have you all talked to Gaby today, did you come pick her up?' And they're telling me no. And at that time I was on high alert," Searcy told WMAZ.

Dixon's father also became concerned.

In a separate interview, Reggie Dixon told WMAZ that the last time he saw his daughter was October 27. He was helping her move into a new apartment. He agreed with Searcy and said Dixon would never leave and not tell her family where she was going.

"Even when she dropped the babies off to my ex-wife, or to me, or to her sister's, she'd call to check on the babies," Dixon said. "Like, 'Daddy, I'm doing this' or 'How are my babies doing?' That let me know that something wasn't right because that's something she doesn't do. That's totally out of character."

Sheriff's deputies began their search for Dixon.

WMAZ reported that the Bibb County Sheriff's Office initially issued an alert about Dixon as missing, but Searcy thinks investigators need to do more.

"I feel like Bibb County failed me; they failed my daughter because they're doing nothing. One of the neighbors called my telephone; she stated she saw a guy getting rid of items by a dumpster; also, the guy had a car, and they saw somebody lying across the backseat," she told WGXA. "It looked like they were wrapped up in a blanket. She said initially it looked like a body to her, but she didn't want to make too much of it."

According to Searcy, the father of Dixon's children couldn't keep his story straight.

She told WGXA that Harris, the children's father, sent strange texts after she reported Dixon missing.

"We received text messages, he told us, 'let me see my children, and I'll tell you everything you need to know," Searcy said. "To me, you're getting ready to confess and tell me what happened."

She also alleged she had proof he hurt her daughter, thanks to text messages Harris sent his current girlfriend.

"He asked for trash bags and bleach," Searcy said, per WGXA. "Let me tell you something about the man I once loved as a son; he's not cleaning up anything."
