If you’ve ever traveled to the southern United States, you know that moms take dressing their kids seriously. Smocking, bows, ruffles, and appliqué take center stage in these kids’ wardrobes. Moms and dads shell out big bucks, and many like to support local small businesses like Thomas & Turner Boutique in Belton, South Carolina. Pamela Brooke Schronce, owner of Thomas & Turner Boutique, however, has a lot of moms seething after she allegedly took large sums of money for preorders but never delivered the goods. Like any good drama these days, the moms took it to TikTok, and things got ugly for Schronce. Police have arrested her more than a dozen times on fraud charges in less than two months. This is a wild ride, so buckle up.
@katherinehinzman Story time on how a small town business has scammed me and others out of $30,000 and counting! Don’t stop at Thomas & Turner Boutique in Belton, South Carolina!

The moms went hard on TikTok.
The trouble for Schronce really began to brew when Katherine Hinzman, a kindergarten teacher and Thomas & Turner customer, posted about the alleged scam on TikTok. Hinzman posted her first video in the series on December 10, 2025, and it amassed 2.2 million views. At the time, she claimed Schronce scammed her and others out of more than $30,000 worth of preordered clothing that she never delivered.
Over time, that number continued to rise as others reported similar issues. Months passed, and Hinzman and others became concerned and contacted Schronce. She reportedly denied refunds and would only give store credit. Hinzman didn’t like that, and apparently neither did many other people, because even orders bought with the store credit weren’t arriving.

Police arrested Schronce 13 times in less than two months.
Yes, you read that correctly. As the fury began to rumble in South Carolina, police got to work. Between January 1, 2026, and March 2, 2026, police arrested Schronce 13 times in 10 counties, according to Fox Carolina. The news outlet reported that customers claim Schronce scammed them and are seeking a refund. Some of her former customers aired the dirty laundry on social media.
Kristen F. Metcalf claimed administrators removed her from the Thomas & Turner VIP Group for complaining about not receiving the items she paid for.
“This is a business I’ve shopped with and loved but i am now so extremely disappointed it. I apologize to any friends and family I’ve referred to this business who have also not received orders or been given their credits,” she wrote. “I think her post is absurd considering sorry not sorry my money is STOLEN. $253.93 dollars of Christmas outfits i will not see and i did not buy any other items from anywhere else for my girls for Christmas to match which was going to be very special for me.”
Just months before Christmas, the boutique won an award.
Schronce posted a message of gratitude on the Thomas & Turner Facebook page in September 2025 after winning a Best of Your Hometown Award.
“Hey Belton, SC!!! WE WON. Thomas & Turner was voted Best Children’s Clothing Store in the 2025 Best of Your Hometown Awards… and we are ecstatic,” she wrote alongside a photo of herself. “Thank you for every single vote, every order, and every sweet message along the way. I’m beyond grateful and so blessed to have the best customers who love and support T&T as much as I do. xoxo Brooke.”

Thomas & Turner now appears to be closed.
Fox Carolina visited Thomas & Turner recently, but no one answered the door. Her website no longer works, and she’s hired an attorney to handle her case. The lawyer issued a statement to Fox Carolina regarding pending litigation.
“All my client can say right now is that she is looking forward to her day in court. We are still working on getting discovery from the state agencies,” the lawyer said.
We imagine there’ll be plenty of moms standing by, just dying to hear what Schronce has to say. It better be good.
