A 2-year-old boy went missing in Cincinnati, Ohio, on Thursday and was reportedly taken from his babysitter's home. An Amber Alert was issued for Brandon Rozier Jr. who was last seen by his mother, Arnisha Crumpley, at 5 a.m. on Thursday. Police believe he was kidnapped by a woman named Lucy Renee Bullock, 22.
Bullock is reportedly a friend of the childâs babysitter, Tasheka Alexander, and although the child was found on Friday afternoon, Bullock is still at large. She has brown hair and eyes and reportedly weighs 135 pounds and is 5â3â tall, reported WHIO 7.
The child was reportedly left at his babysitterâs house by his mother, but was not there when she returned for him.
Police said a neighbor's doorbell camera caught what appears to be Bullock leaving the babysitterâs house with the child, reported WHIO 7. She reportedly took the babysitter's car without permission.
This is not Bullock's first criminal offense, she has been charged with assault, harassment, theft, and carrying concealed weapons. On Thursday, North Hill College Chief of Police Ryan Schrand said he believed the suspect and child were still in the area.
âWe believe Lucy does not have a lot of resources," the chief said, reported WCPO. "She doesnât have any money. She doesnât have anywhere else to go.â
Brandon's mother begged for his safe return.
Crumpley, Brandon's mother, was meant to go into work on Thursday morning, but instead received a panicked call from the babysitter begging her to come. "He is my lifeline, my heart, I just want him home. We just want him homeâ, Crumpley told WLWT5.
The childâs babysitter, Tasheka Alexander said: "That ain't a shirt or a pair of shoes or a few dollars; that's a whole human. How could you take somebody's child?" reported WLWT5.
So far, there is no motive for why Bullock took the child.
Brandon was found safe a home at Bullock's mother's home around 2:30 p.m. on Friday, more than 24 hours after he went missing, reported Fox 19 Now. The vehicle Bullock allegedly took was also recovered. Bullock is still missing.
According to Judge Leslie Ghiz, Bullock was under the care of the Greater Cincinnati Behavioral Services due to mental health issues, and was recently in the judgeâs courtroom for two non violent felonies. A motive for the kidnapping is unclear, according to WCPO. Anyone who sees the suspect should call 911.
People flooded Facebook with prayers for Brandon and his family.
âHope he comes home safeâ, one user commented.
âTerrible that this happenedâ, another reader wrote.
Others commented with the praying hands emoji or simply âprayersâ.
