Police need help finding a Florida couple wanted for murder who may be on the run with an infant. The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office identified Alfredo Carballo Gonzalez, 32, and Ariely Alvarez Cabrera, 27, as suspects in the death of 37-year-old Daylon Fleitas. The victim reportedly went missing from Hialeah, north of Miami, on August 3, 2025. Police have not indicated how Fleitas died but warned they consider the fugitives armed and dangerous.
Fleitas reportedly said he was headed to meet an acquaintance on August 3 but never returned, according to NBC Miami. Fleitas did not suffer from any known medical or mental health conditions, per the news outlet. Authorities released no other information about a cause of death or where they found a body.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement issued a missing child alert for Alain Carballo, the couple’s 5-month-old infant. Police believe he is with his parents and could be in danger. Police noted that Alain was last seen near the 16800th block of Southwest 137th Avenue in Miami.
Detective Angel Rodriguez, a spokesperson with the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, told Local 10 they don’t have much information on Carballo Gonzalez and Alvarez Cabrera.
“I don’t know if they are legally married, but they are a couple and they have this 5-month-old,” he said. “They’re wanted for murder. They’re fleeing and they have a 5-month-old. Our biggest concern is the safety and the wellness of this 5-month-old baby.”
Alvarez Cabrera posted photos and a message to Alain the day Flietas went missing.
“5 months with you, 5 months loving you more than I ever thought possible. Every day by your side is a new adventure, a smile, a look that changes everything. Thank you for teaching me how to love so pure,” the mother wrote. “You are my sunshine, my calm, my reason. Happy birthday fatty from mom and dad, we love you.”
The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office asks anyone with information about the couple’s potential whereabouts to call its Homicide Bureau at (305) 471-2400 or Miami-Dade County Crime Stoppers at (305) 471-TIPS (8477).
