The Son of Charlotte Sena’s Accused Kidnapper Proclaims ‘He Should Die’

Alleged kidnapper Craig Nelson Ross Jr. is behind bars in New York after police tracked him at his home in Porter's Corner after he allegedly left a ransom note at the home of then-missing Charlotte Sena. The 9-year-old girl disappeared at a Moreau Lake State Park camping site in Gansevoort, on September 30, and was found two days later in a cabinet in Ross' camper.

Ross' adult son, Joshua, spoke with a reporter from TMZ and had nothing nice to say about his father, who is now accused of kidnapping Charlotte. The man told TMZ he would like privacy, but not before telling the media outlet he doesn't think his father should live.

Ross' kids understand 'the gravity of this situation.'

Joshua Ross identified himself and his sister as Ross' children. He said they understand that what their father allegedly did is serious and that people wanted information, but he said he didn't want to be harassed.

"I could give a f— if the dude dropped dead tomorrow," he claimed.

His kids want 'nothing to do with him.'

Joshua Ross reiterated that he doesn't care about his father. "He's disgusting. He's gross. He should die," he said. "I couldn't care less. That's how I feel. Alright?

"I could give a rat's a– what happens. You got that on video?" he asked. Joshua Ross then asked the camera operator to put the phone away and left.

Police tracked Craig Ross' fingerprints from a 1999 DUI arrest.

Investigators entered prints from the note into a database and matched them to Craig Ross from an arrest in Saratoga almost 25 years ago. Police then moved to his property and found Charlotte hidden in a cabinet in a camper behind his house. The child was not physically harmed but was taken to a hospital for evaluation.

"[He] literally drove up to the family's mailbox, assuming they were not home, 4:20 in the morning, opens the mailbox and inserts the ransom note, leaving a critical piece of evidence behind — his own fingerprint," Governor Kathy Hochul said during a news conference.

He was charged with kidnapping.

According to a release from the New York State Police, Ross was charged with kidnapping in the first degree, a felony. He was remanded to the Saratoga County Correctional Facility and was being held without bail. Police anticipate additional charges.

Charlotte's family released a statement with an update on their daughter.

"We are thrilled that she is home and we understand that the outcome is not what every family gets," the family shared in a release, People reported. "A huge thank you to the FBI, the New York State police, all of the agencies that were mobilized, all of the families, friends, community, neighbors and hundreds of volunteers who supported us and worked tirelessly to bring Charlotte home."

A GoFundMe page set up for the family has raised more than $44,000 thus far.
