Man Hides in Pregnant Ex-Girlfriend’s Home, Shoots Her & Her Mother as Kids Watched

It is no secret that being pregnant is hard, but to manage it through dire situations is honestly unimaginable. When I was pregnant with my son, my husband was my touchstone. For nine months, he supported me, kept me as comfortable as possible, and prioritized my pregnancy journey. Every woman deserves support like that, so it is pretty harrowing when you hear other pregnant women enduring the total opposite.

In Texas, ex-boyfriend Christopher Mike terrorized the mother of his unborn child by ambushing her and her mother with a gun as they arrived home one day. Sylvia Scott, a mom of three who is pregnant with their child, was struck in the neck and face while her mother Allure Stewart, was also hit, according to Law & Crime.

Mike apparently broke in through the back door on November 19, 2025, and hid until Scott arrived at her For Worth home with her mom and children in tow. Scott and Stewart recalled in heartbreaking detail to KDFW about what transpired that fateful day.

“I was shot in the neck, and it went through my face,” Scott claimed. “He just appeared out of nowhere and shot her and looked at me and shot me,” Stewart added. “Then he ran deeper into the house, and I thought he was going to hurt the kids.”

According to the Fort-Worth Star Telegram, the children originally ran into the house ahead of Scott, but it wasn’t until she entered that the shooting began.

“I heard this pop, and I turned around, and I saw him and that he had shot [Sylvia],” Stewart said. “Then he looked at me and shot me, and ran back in the house. And I thought, ‘Oh no, he’s going to shoot my two grandchildren.”

Scott managed to call the police while Stewart did the talking, and during that period Mike left the home.

Scott also alleged that Mike was violent during their relationship, which led to them breaking up in November and resulted in him “acting out” with gun violence, per KDFW.

Scott noted that she believed Mike was tracking her location through an Apple iPad he left in her home after he originally moved out.

Luckily, the fetus survived as well as Scott and Stewart. The children, though physically unharmed, are reportedly psychologically scarred.

A family member started a GoFundMe account to help support Scott, Stewart and the children financially as they will now be navigating an expensive recovery as well as healing the trauma the kids experienced.

Law & Order noted that online records show Mike is facing charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, burglary, and kidnapping over the alleged incident. He is being held without bond and is scheduled to appear in court January 5, 2026.
