It seems like a mom named Victoria (who goes by @toriyav on the social media app) is beefing with everyone online after she shared that she puts her infant daughter to bed a little later than usual — midnight. Most people were stunned the mom let her baby stay up so late, but Victoria explained that there was a method to her madness. (Just don’t tell that to the comments section.)

The mom revealed all in a recent video where she shared a couple of things she does with her baby that people 'might find weird.'
Aside from using Fiji water to make her formula and picking up her daughter, Grey, every time she cries, there was one habit the mom does that really caused a stir — “bedtime at 12 am,” she wrote in the caption of the video, which has since been deleted.
Now for some of us grown-ups, midnight is a pretty late bedtime, but one commenter wondered why she would need to put her 7-month-old to bed so late.
The mom explained that she never really understood why parents put their kids to bed early.
"That just means when they have their full 12 hours of sleep, they would wake up at 7 am,” she wrote in the caption of a second video. "And us being stay-at-home parents, this isn't very necessary,” she added.
"As long as the baby has their needed amount of sleep, the time you put them to bed doesn't matter,” she continued. “This is a man made thing.”
The baby sleeps from midnight to 1 p.m. “and that's what works for our family,” Victoria added.
The mom also shared that she has an older daughter, a third grader, who used to go to bed at the same time.
After one commenter asked her how her baby would adjust their sleep schedule once they started school, Victoria explained that the transition was easy for her older daughter.
She wrote that her daughter adjusted “within a few days” — even when previously she was sometimes hitting the sack at 2 or 3 a.m.
“When it was time for school, we explained things will change. She was so excited to start school, making her go to sleep earlier was the easiest thing," she explained.
“Why force a kid to wake up early, when they have no responsibilities yet. Kids easily adjust.”

People had strong opinions about these late nights.
Negative opinions, that is.
"You're setting her circadian rhythms now for the rest of her life," commented one person. "It's not about what's convenient for you."
"Yeah no babies aren't meant for that … it's your job as parents to make sure they're getting a healthy sleep schedule and this is not it …" another commenter added.
"And when do you have time for your husband when she won't go to bed until midnight?" someone else asked.
Other people agreed that putting their baby to bed late wasn’t so bad.
“MY BABY SLEEPS AT 12 am too!! It’s so much more convenient [for] so many reasons,” one commenter shared.
Another person was exasperated by all the other commenters who were “acting like the kids gonna start school next week.”
“Honestly none of this matters. We’re biologically night people or early risers no matter what our parents do,” a third commenter chimed in. “So do what works for you as a mom!”
So what’s the real answer to this whole bedtime dilemma?
The time that you put your baby to bed doesn’t really matter, according to babysleepscience.com, adding this:
“As long as your child is getting enough sleep — then an early or late bedtime is fine as long as it suits your family’s schedule. Sleeping from 9 pm to 8 am might be perfectly normal for a baby in one family, while sleeping from 6 pm to 5 am is the norm in another.”
Early bedtimes might solve some sleep problems, the website continued, but "the key is to figure out the root of your child’s sleep trouble first and then choose the strategy that best fits the problem."
So there you go: Different strokes for different folks, people!
