For parents of babies and kids with eczema, life is a constant struggle of watching their child deal with the discomfort that this skin condition causes while searching for something that can help. Finding actual products to treat eczema can be a frustrating guessing game, whether prescribed by a doctor or bought over the counter, because there's no guarantee that anything is going to have positive results. But one mom is claiming that she's finally found a product to heal her baby's eczema — and the before-and-after photos are unbelievable.
Sarah Rudd opened up on Facebook about her son Cash's struggle with baby eczema.
In a post made on March 22, the British mom mentioned that her 4-month-old "has struggled with the skin on his face since birth." Rudd explained that she's constantly looked for anything that could help him and has "tried dairy free formula, no change. Tried Hydrocortisone cream, Aveeno, [Nizoral] and Dermol too." Nothing she put on little Cash seemed to help.
But just two weeks later, she went back to Facebook to share some amazing news.
Alongside a few photos of her baby's eczema-covered face was an image of him with his skin almost completely clear. "Final post about the baby's skin, most of you saw he was a hot mess last month with the eczema he'd had since birth," the mom wrote. "Nothing we were prescribed worked, even hydrocortisone cream didn't touch it."
But after Rudd had written about it on Facebook, someone had made a suggestion that she'd hadn't tried yet — and it gave some serious results. "We were recommended Dream Cream by Lush and gave it a go," she wrote. "It's transformed his skin and he's now completely and utterly eczema free."
Dream Cream made a drastic difference for Cash and the improvement is shocking.
"He didn't sleep for 4 months because he scratched non stop all night," Rudd shared. But now, his face is free of the itchy and bleeding skin.
This grateful mom is so impressed, she is recommending it to other parents dealing with baby eczema. "For anyone else having a hard time, it's done the job for us," she wrote.

It only took one day to start seeing drastic improvement.
"The cream worked overnight after the first application," she told Insider. "The eczema was completely clear in 24 hours." According to Insider, Rudd applies the cream on Cash every morning even though his skin is now "flawless."
Rudd's post went viral very quickly with 44,000 shares raising awareness for this product.
According to PopSugar, baby Cash's results with Dream Cream have made sales increase by nearly 200 percent. The product already has a 4.6 out of five rating on Lush's website</a>; it also has a 95 percent recommendation rate.

Dermatologist and CEO of MBeautyClinic.com Dr. Tess Mauricio tells CafeMom that the ingredients in Dream Cream "are popular and proven natural ingredients that can potentially help those with eczema who suffer from dry, irritated skin."
"There are natural anti-inflammatory benefits from oat milk, lavender oil, and chamomile that can help decrease redness, irritation, itching, and pain from eczema," Mauricio says. "Natural moisturizing ingredients like olive oil, tea trea oil, and cocoa butter help lock in much-needed moisture."
Despite Cash's success, it's important to remember that there's no guarantee it will actually heal eczema.
As exciting as the results are for Cash and his parents, there still isn't a known "cure" for the skin condition and not everyone is on board with this treatment. Dr. Suzanne Friedler with Advanced Dermatology PC tells CafeMom that Dream Cream actually contains products that have the potential to harm people who suffer from eczema.
Looking at the ingredients list, "it contains several ingredients including fragrances and parabens which could be contact allergens," Friedler tells CafeMom. "I would not recommend this product for baby eczema."
Friedler says parents should use plain Vaseline or Aveeno products on their infants. "They are less likely to cause an allergic reaction," she says. "If your baby has sensitive skin, keep bath time short and use a soap-free cleanser on dirty areas. Moisturize the entire body with every diaper change and change those diapers frequently because stool and urine can cause an irritant dermatitis."
Pediatrician Dr. Heather Finlay-Morreale shares Friedler's fragrance concerns, warning parents that it can cause adverse effects on sensitive skin. "Overall I would not advise this product for most eczema sufferers," she tells CafeMom. "Although individual responses may vary."
It's amazing that Dream Cream has seemed to work for little Cash, and we can only hope it continues to yield great results. Ultimately, it's still important to recognize that there are some risks and downfalls associated with this product, which means that you may want to consult your doctor before using it on your baby's eczema.
