The ‘Zoom Challenge’ Is the Latest Viral Trend & People Are Calling it Child Abuse

As if parenting wasn't already hard enough, social media seems to be constantly introducing new trends for kids to get into. Yet despite the fact that many of them are both equally dumb and dangerous, moms and dads need to know about these cool "games" that their kids are getting into. The latest fad is known as the zoom challenge and this viral sensation is a bit different. Instead of kids secretly hurting themselves, this fad is getting people riled up because it seems to be adults who are putting little ones in potential harm in order to participate.

The zoom challenge is the latest social media craze with both kids and adults participating in videos.

The premise of the challenge is simple: someone sits on the floor while listening to the song Mickey by Lil Yachty. As their dance moves are recorded, another person off camera abruptly pulls them off screen when the lyrics get to, "Trapping out the back streets, runnin’ through the packs like a track meet – ZOOM.”

But clips of babies and toddlers are going viral because of how dangerous and jarring they look.

Yikes, that is seriously cringe-worthy.

Many videos show little ones being what appears to be aggressively yanked -- even banging their heads.

People are even involving their cats and dogs in order to make these "funny" videos.

The footage online of animals getting yanked is just as troubling as the videos with young children.

As more videos go viral, people are speaking out on social media and slamming it as child abuse.

Although some find the clips funny, others are warning about whiplash, concussions, and broken bones. And there's certainly nothing comical about hurting any child for a laugh on social media.
