Lynn Puzzo is no stranger to creative cake smash photo shoots. The Fayetteville, Georgia, photographer has styled everything from Cookie Monster to Micky Mouse themed shoots. But recently, a new idea came to her as she was scrolling through Instagram and her eyes landed on an adorable outfit: everything Starbucks!
You could say the theme was kind of perfect, considering Puzzo is a self-described "Starbucks addict."
In fact, she tells CafeMom her go-to orders are either a caramel frappuccino or iced caramel macchiato. (Yum.)
She says the outfit she saw, which had a Starbucks-inspired design, was from an online boutique called Ritzy Baby, based in Branson, Missouri. Once she laid eyes on it, she more or less bought it on impulse.
"Then the idea grew from there," she explains. "At first, I was just going to use it during a client photo session because I liked it and thought it was cute. Then I decided to do a cake smash session with it.
And the Internet is so so glad she did.
The photos have gone pretty viral since Puzzo first started sharing the photos on Facebook last week. It's easy to see why, though — they're INSANELY adorable!
Puzzo said she conducted a casting call to find models for the photo shoot, once she'd dreamt up the theme. That's when she found baby Aria.
The 1-year-old definitely took to the theme pretty well — and was more than willing to face plant into the "frappuccino" cake Puzzo bought (and drove an hour to get from the bakery).
But Aria wasn't the only kiddo to rock the Starbucks theme. Puzzo also took photos of 13-month-old Olive in a Starbucks-inspired two-piece.
Although Olive's photo shoot wasn't a cake smash (bummer!), it was equally adorable. And she looked like she was having a great time.
Plus, she got to have her very own latte!
(Just kidding — it was empty.)
Needless to say, Puzzo definitely had a blast making all her Starbucks dreams come true with this photo shoot.
But her creative juices are not done flowing yet. She tells CafeMom she's working on styling an Aladdin-themed cake smash for an upcoming shoot, which she's "insanely excited about." And not just because the live-action movie just came out, either.
Puzzo admits she's an even bigger Disney fan than she is a Starbucks fan, if you can believe it. (Can't wait to see what that one looks like!)
