I am a HUGE fan of Top Chef and I love the drone voice of host Padma Lakshmi — she's gorgeous, too. Did you watch last week where she said she had eaten bull's testicles and then Penn Jillette responded, "I'll bet"? Kind of priceless. Borderline rude. I was hoping Tom Colicchio would say something snarky in her defense.
Well, the big news is that the 39 year-old adventurous foodie is pregnant with her first child!
Padma was married to writer Salman Rushdie, but the couple split in 2007, and there is no one she is currently linked to.
The Endometriosis Foundation of America was co-founded by Lakshmi, and she has suffered with the disease for years. Which makes me all the more happy for her baby news.
I am super curious who the dad is…I wonder if he's a chef, another acclaimed writer perhaps, or a guy next door type. Lucky guy next door he would certainly be!
Congrats Padma! I cannot wait to see a pregnancy cravings challenge on a future Top Chef…and also cannot wait to see her maternity style.
