Baby Boy Is Totally Amused & Not Scared At All By Terrifying Clown Halloween Mask

We’re in the midst of spooky season. The temperatures are cooling. The sun is disappearing earlier in the evening. The leaves are changing color and falling from the trees. And pumpkin decor is starting to pop up everywhere. As this news season gets under way, you may notice that there are a couple of different types of people in the world.

There are those who would prefer not to engage. They have sensitive spirits and all the creepy stuff can be a bit unsettling. Then, there are those who lean completely in. They take pleasure in the thrill of being a little scared. One mom recently discovered that her infant son is in the latter camp, and is more than comfortable with this time of year, according to Good Morning America.

The mom dangled a Halloween mask in front of her infant son.

When Tiffany Roxby showed her 4-month-old son Hudson a scary Halloween mask, instead of being frightened by the ghastly thing, he seemed to delight in it. In an Instagram video that has since gone viral, Roxby dangled a mask directly in front of her son’s carseat. Instead of recoiling or crying, Hudson smiles at the petrifying clown in front of him.

'Kid will talk to anyone,' Roxby wrote.

In the text that overlaid the video Roxby wrote, “Kid will talk to anyone.” In the caption, she followed it up with a question. “I wonder what they were talking about #thiskid #horrorjunkie #babiesofinstagram,” she wrote.

Later, Roxby told Storyful that when she was strapping her son into his carseat, she noticed that he started to fixate on the mask that had been placed on the back of the passenger seat headrest in her in-laws’ truck. “When I put him in the back, he locked right onto the mask. He had started babbling and smiling at it so I originally started recording to show my in-laws that finally one of their grandchildren isn’t afraid but it was too funny to not share socially also,” said Roxby.

Hudson didn't have his clown companion for the whole ride.

While Hudson seemed to appreciate the company, Roxby did eventually remove the mask. “Afterwards I did take the mask off the seat as to not traumatize him for an entire drive but I am fixing to take a new video to see if he’s still going to smile at the mask or not,” Roxby added. In addition to the video being unusual and adorable, Roxby’s Instagram followers had a good time projecting their own, more adult meanings onto the video.

The comments about the video were equally funny.

“Me with the worst man I have ever met in my life,” one woman wrote. “Survival Instinct: 0,” another user shared. There were those who were very practical about the whole thing. “He still can’t see fr lol show him again in a few months from now when his eyes clear up,” someone wrote.

Others saw it from a more loving, innocent angle. “This just shows that children love regardless and or color shape or form,” someone else offered.
