2023 is here! At the start of every new year, we always have so much to look forward to in the world of pop culture. We’re dying to see Taylor Swift in concert. We’re ready to cheer for the US team in the Women’s World Cup. We’re super curious to see how weird the live-action Barbie movie is going to be, and we’re hoping for a happy ending when season three of Ted Lasso finally returns. And, of course, we are always ready for a fresh year of celebrity gossip.
One of our favorite kinds of celebrity gossip is also the most joyful kind — new babies! There are quite a few confirmed celebrity pregnancies for 2023, including some famous mamas who look like they are due any day now. While most stars don’t share their exact due dates (which totally makes sense from a safety and privacy perspective), we’re guessing that No. 3, No. 6, or No. 15 on our list will be some of the first to go this year.
Our roundup of the celebrities expecting babies in 2023 includes a 48-year-old first-time mom (of twins!), a former child star expecting his seventh child, and a much-anticipated rainbow baby from one of the internet’s favorite couples. We wish all of them joy as they grow their families.
Rumer Willis
Meghan McCain
Meghan McCain, former cohost of The View, is a member of the “any minute now” club for 2023 babies. She’s expecting her second child (and second daughter) in a matter of days or weeks, and we’ll be curious if she goes for another over-the-top patriotic-themed name to match daughter Liberty.
Zachery Ty Bryan
Zachery Ty Bryan was a child star and fixture on the popular TV show Home Improvement. Since those days, he’s been busy getting deeply into super-right-wing politics and having LOTS of kids. He and his current girlfriend are expecting his sixth and seventh babies in 2023. This will be his second set of twins.
Blake Lively
We have so many questions about Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds’ fourth child-on-the-way. When is Blake due? Will we get to find out the baby’s sex and name right away or will we have wait for it to be revealed in a Taylor Swift song? Blake and Ryan tend to be pretty private about their family, so we aren’t expecting to hear many details anytime soon.
Chrissy Teigen
While we obviously hope for a safe and easy delivery for all expecting moms, we really hope for the best for Chrissy Teigen and John Legend as they welcome their rainbow baby in 2023 after a devastating pregnancy loss at 20 weeks in 2020. Chrissy announced her pregnancy in August, so she should be due sometime early this year.
Hilary Swank
We’re also thrilled for Hilary Swank, who will become a mom for the first time in 2023. The 48-year-old actress is expecting twins with her husband, Philip Schneider. She’s also currently nominated for a Golden Globe for her role in the show Alaska Daily, so she’s certainly on track for an amazing year.
Keshia Knight Pulliam
Keisha Knight Pulliam is obviously a grown-up and has been one for a long time (she’s 43, for goodness sake), but it’s hard not to still think of her as little Rudy from The Cosby Show. She’ll be welcoming her second child in 2023 with husband Brad James.
