Who doesn't want a colorful, vibrant garden? Whether you grow flowers, herbs, fruits and veggies, or just plants, we all like to have beautiful outdoor spaces. Want to get your kids involved with the garden? Try painting garden stones together! It's a simple, fun way to bring extra color to your garden or backyard.
Supplies:
- paintable rocks (find them outside or order them online)
- acrylic paint
- paintbrushes
Instructions
- First, set up your painting area! Because you'll be using permanent paint, put down a trash bag or some newspaper in case of spills. (Make sure to wear clothes that can get a little messy.)
- Next, choose which rock (or rocks) you want to paint!
- Start painting! Think of a design you love (our suggestions are ladybugs, suns, mandalas, and flowers) and grab your paintbrush.
- Let them dry. Once you're finished painting, let all the rocks dry completely. While they're drying, clean up your painting area.
- Put the rocks in your garden! When the rocks are dry, find the perfect place to put them outside.
If you don't have your own outdoor space, you can still make these rocks and put them in public places to bring a smile to other people's faces!
