For millions, Disney theme parks are among the happiest places in the world. Many believe that Disney sets the standard for family fun and if you are going to shell out big bucks to be there, you should get your money's worth. With multiple food, ride, and entertainment options, Disney truly has something for everyone. But not everything attraction is for everyone.
Can we all agree that there are rules in place for a reason? This is true no matter where you go, but rules have a lot to do with guest safety at places like amusement parks. Plenty of rides at Disney parks are suitable for the whole family, but others have size restrictions. But apparently, some people think those rules don't apply to them. Like the kind of people who think putting a baby on a rollercoaster is OK.
Um, sorry. What?

Evidently, babies can be thrill seekers.
Yes, you read that correctly. Apparently, some people think babies should be able to ride all of the rides at amusement parks, including Disney.
According to a post on Inside the Magic, a Disneyland guest allegedly tried to ride the legendary Matterhorn Bobsleds with an infant.
Sure, the ride is a classic – it's been a standard at the park since 1959 – but it is also a roller coaster, for heaven's sake. Who in their right mind would want a baby on a roller coaster? No one, right? Well, you'd be wrong.
One Twitter user couldn't believe his eyes.
As Inside the Magic reported, a park eyewitness, @GrandFloStan, saw the whole thing go down. He tweeted, "Not someone deada– trying to bring an INFANT on the Matterhorn. I'm dead."
And followers were shocked.
"Reminds me of working at any thrill attraction and people asking, "is this good for baby?" someone commented.
"do people just not have any safety concern for children and babies once they step foot into the parks like genuinely what is the thought process," another Twitter user questioned.
"Let the kid enjoy life and not introduce back problems at such an early age," another person wrote.
This isn't the first time someone has tried to bypass ride size requirements.
Ty and Haley Kelly went viral in February 2023 for their ridiculous hack that could've killed their son. The parents wanted their "thrill-seeking boy" to be able to ride all of the rides at Disney, so they created some Frankenstein-style shoes out of extra flip flops and Gorilla Glue to make him taller.
The backlash was intense. Ty Kelly soon issued a statement, not quite an apology, but people weren't buying it. The couple ended up deleting the hack and all videos related to it and rebranding their social media.
Have a few hours to kill?
Scroll TikTok for a while, and you'll see tons of stories about parents doing sketchy things at theme parks with their kids. They may put the hairbow in a little higher or put their kid in their chunkiest shoes trying to gain an inch.
Former theme park employees have lots of tales of everything from people putting lifts in their kids' shoes to ride coasters to guests putting their babies in backpacks to sneak them onto rides! It is so crazy to watch, but we couldn't stop scrolling!

Yep, it sucks when your kid can't ride, but why do some people not get it?
Theme parks are expensive, and it can be tough when you can't ride everything you want to. But most places, Disney especially, have plenty of things for people of all ages and sizes to enjoy.
Take the time to plan your trip and manage expectations ahead of time so no one will be heartbroken at the happiest place on earth. And if all else fails, find one of those Mickey Mouse ice cream bars … those always help.
