Mom Reveals in Hilarious TikTok She Needed 200 Stitches After Delivering 11-Pound Baby

The process of conceiving a child, carrying it to term, and delivering it is still surreal to me, even though I’ve done it. I got the sex talk early and I understand science. But the act of pushing another human out of your body is just hard to conceptualize.

Maybe that’s why I ultimately ended up having a C-section. But even for the women who have done it, it’s a feat. One mother shared her unusual and almost unbelievable experience on TikTok, and we still can't get over it.

DanYell used a scene from 'Finding Nemo' to tell her birth story.

The POV for the TikTok reads, “The midwife when I just had my almost 11lb baby.”

Using a sound from Finding Nemo, the TikToker known as DanYell shared how the midwife spoke to her once her labor was over. If you’ve seen Nemo, it’s the part where the sea turtle is talking to Nemo’s dad who’s been stunned into unconsciousness by a bunch of sting rays. The turtle says: “Focus dude, duuuddeee …” trying to wake him.

She used various objects to illustrate how much her cervix stretched while giving birth.

When Nemo’s dad stirs, he says, “Ugh what happened?” In the reenactment, DanYell holds a baby doll in her arms. Pretending to be the midwife, she looks at the doll and then back at herself. “Saw the whole thing dude.” Danielle replays the labor through the perspective of her dilating cervix.

DanYell had to get so many stitches after it was all said and done.

First, she holds up a rubber bracelet. Then the lid from a bottle and finally a large plastic bowl. Danielle revealed that as a result of the intense birth, she had to have 200 stitches inside and out.

She ends the TikTok with the turtle’s voice saying, “You’ve got serious thrill issues, dude … Awesome.”

Other women shared their stories of birthing large babies.

In addition to all of the laughing emojis in the comments section, there were women who could relate and shared their own labor stories.

“Not even a lie." one person wrote. "My first was 10lbs 14oz and we could not get a second alone. Felt like a circus performer.”

Another woman who also worked with a midwife wrote: “This was also me. The midwife’s kept putting my daughter on and off the scales thinking they were broken. Never again.”
