The sayings, āDonāt count my moneyā and, āDonāt watch my pocketsā often ring true. The sentiment is that you should mind your business when it comes to the financial decisions of others. Donāt worry about how they spend their money. Donāt assume you know what they should and shouldnāt do with their funds. Itās a good rule to live by. As personal as money can be, most people know to keep their opinions to themselves.
But when people ask for loans or donations or engage in crowdfunding efforts, all bets are off. One mom influencer learned this after the internet blasted her for asking for thousands of dollars from her followers.

Adrielle Sigler's spending habits have people wondering if her call for donations is legitimate.
Sigler, 33, is a single mom of three living in New York. She goes by @veganrizz on TikTok, and makes her money being an influencer and producing content for the internet. Sigler recently came under fire for asking for $30,000 from her followers.
If you follow influencers, you know that crowdfunding is not unusual. But Sigler recently published a video claiming that she spent $17,000 in one month, the New York Post reported. Itās left people questioning not only her spending habits but her integrity as well.

'Our lives are at risk,' Sigler said about the need for the emergency move.
In her video plea, Sigler claimed she needed to move herself and her three children āas quickly and safely as possible. Our lives are at risk.ā Sigler said that her son was āgang-assaultedā and robbed. āHe almost lost his life to 10 people who threatened to break into our home and do it again,ā Sigler said.
She explained that she needs money to apply for rental units and gas money to tour the homes. The biggest expense will be standing out among other potential renters. Sigler says if you want to be chosen, you have to stand out.
āHow to stand out: offer to pay off the lease. So if the lease is six months, offer to play the six months. If the rent is $2,200, six months thatās $13,200. And you have to pay the security deposit and you have to first and last monthās rent. Weāre already looking at $19,800.ā
Sigler says she refuses to let her children live with the bare minimum.
The breakdown is feasible. Still, people wanted to discuss Siglerās $17,000 expenditure in April. In a response video, another TikToker who goes by the name @conspirateatime, broke down where the money went, according to Sigler.
She spent $5,000 on car repairs. Another $1,000 on a car rental. Groceries and DoorDash were $3,800. Sigler also claims to pay rent months in advance. But she didnāt share how much that cost.
In an interview with the NY Post, Sigler said, āI had just paid off my rent for the summer. If I knew we were going to have to find a place to move as soon as possible, I would have held off on half of that spending. My son got jumped not even one week after I had just paid off my rent for the entire summer.ā
In the video from April, Sigler said, āLetās not forget birthdays and hair salons. You donāt have to spend money at hair salons but you probably should if you want your kids to be happy ā¦ Iām generous. Iām super generous. I wouldnāt be a good parent if I let my kids live at bare minimum. Who the f— wants to do that?!ā
Critics are petitioning to have Sigler removed from TikTok.
But apparently allowing her kids to live above bare minimum means allowing the people of the internet to pay for them. This $30,000 GoFundMe is not Siglerās first. She attempted to move last year and created a fundraiser then.
When her son needed braces, she also created a GoFundMe. Now, people are starting to question not only her need for money but also the story behind her sonās attack.
āDidnāt your son assault some girl and thatās why he got jumped,ā one TikTok user asked.
Comments on the WNY News report where the incident was detailed claimed that Siglerās son was a willing participant in the pre-planned fight.
āI feel like this is such a scam …,ā another user commented. āPlease donate money to Palestine instead. Actual people displaced from their home and in danger.ā
At the time of publication, Sigler has raised $4,364 of her $30,000 goal. Critics are so convinced that Sigler is a fraud that theyāve set up a Change.org petition to have her removed from TikTok.
