Potty training is not easy, and there are so many different methods out there that it can be hard to tell what's good advice from what’s complete bunk.
One mom recently went viral on TikTok for her creative solution to the, how-the-heck-do-we-get-our-kid-to-use-the-toilet, dilemma by making her son a pint-sized bathroom he can use for potty training — and as strange as it sounds, the internet can’t get over how absolutely adorable it is.
The mom, who goes by @layerkakes online, shared her tiny toilet setup in a video from October 30.
But it’s recently bubbled up again because um, hello? Tiny Toilet!
“Making our toddler his own corner of the bathroom,” the mom wrote in the video’s caption.
The video shows a man, most likely Layerkakes’s husband, cleaning and prepping the bathroom before installing a toddler-sized rug, working sink and yes, a potty.
They even installed a shelf where her son could put his toothbrush cup.
And a little towel hanger and brush so he can always look his best.
“The sink works!” the mom wrote in the video’s caption. “And it separates the dirty water!” The parents even outfitted their son’s “bathroom” with a hamper where he could put dirty reusable diapers.
Over 3 million people have since watched the mom’s video and were stunned by her ingenious idea.
"This is awesome. This child has an opportunity to grow up independent and with good values," one commenter praised. "Great job."
"Okay is it bad that I want this for myself?" another commenter joked.
"This is actually genius!!!" wrote a third commenter. "If we have a bigger bathroom when we move I'm SO doing this."
Some had questions.
"Why are some people on level 1000 of parenting and I feel like I’m stuck on the boss fight at level 5?" one person wondered.
"I’m scared for that carpet under the toilet lol," another commenter added.
"Does it bother anyone else that the mirror is above the toilet and not above the sink?" someone else chimed in. "Lol still love the idea."
The mom even shared a follow-up video where she showed that she made an even tinier bathroom to help people understand the “scale” of her son’s bathroom.
“OMG this is a bathroom, inside a bathroom, INSIDE A BATHROOM!!!” one person wrote.
Consider my mind 100% blown.
