Mom Kaitlyn Curtis thought she'd get in on the whipped sunscreen and primer trend. She got herself a big old can of Reddi Whip and applied it to her face right in her car. She posted the video on her TikTok, @Kaitlyn.curtis2, where it went viral. No, it wasn't because it worked well but because poor Kaitlyn was hilariously confused and none the wiser.

She slathered herself in the sticky stuff
In her 37-second clip, Kaitlyn buys herself a can of whipped cream and gives it a full ASMR-style tap with her manicured nails before squirting some in her mouth. She then applies the whipped cream to her face, neck, and hands. She admits it's sticky but equates that to a good makeup primer and tells her followers to "go try it."
The comment section went bananas
Her tutorial received 3.3 million views, and people were shocked that Kaitlyn thought the whipped cream trend was actual whipped cream.
One person wrote, "i want to hold your hand when i tell you this…."
Another commenter loved Kaitlyn's innocence. "The way you just accepted it being sticky ," the person wrote.
Someone else was impressed by her frugalness: "Okay but I'm just so proud of you for only buying whipped cream… I could never go into a store and buy one thing ❤️."
But then things got interesting
Reddi Whip entered the chat, commenting from its official TikTok, "Wait… "
To which Kaitlyn replied, "Omg Hii."
TikTokers began tagging Vacation Inc., the maker of the real whipped sunscreen that Kaitlyn apparently thought she was applying.
"@Vacation Inc. please help this sweet girl out ," one person pleaded.
This person agreed, writing, "@Vacation Inc. y'all better send this lovely wholesome woman some sunscreen."
The sunscreen company responded
Kaitlyn received a PR package from Vacation Inc., which hooked her up with its products to try. The company included a note that read, "For Kaitlyn, in celebration of a happy accident. Your friends at Vacation."
Inside was a T-shirt, whipped sunscreen, fragrance, and a car freshener.
