We’ve all told a joke that didn’t particularly land well, but when you do it on the internet, there’s a whole bunch of people ready to judge. A mom’s video uploaded to TikTok has people divided after she spelled out an ahem personal message to her 2-year-old daughter in her food. But while some commenters thought the joke was hilarious, there were many others who thought she went too far.
Emma, who goes by @emma_moonbeam on TikTok, has over 20 million views on her video.
In the footage from February 21, Emma can be seen bringing her daughter a tray of food. It’s your typical balanced dinner — except with one notable tweak. Her daughter’s letter-shaped fries spell out a special note straight from Mom: “U piss me off.”
Welp, that’s one way to address your issues.
“Love her really,” the mom wrote in the video’s caption.
Anyone who's dealt with a trouble-making toddler might see the mom's point, but not everyone thought the gag was funny.
"Ooo that's not nice even if she doesn't know how to read! Not funny I'm afraid!" wrote one person.
"She was filled with love for you and you write that. Not the nicest thing seriously," another commenter added.
"It’ll be even funnier when she does the same to you when you’re in a nursing home! How the turn tables," someone else agreed.
While other people thought it was pretty brilliant.
"I'm making that exact meal for my husband tonight," one commenter wrote.
"Why is everyone acting like this 2-YEAR-OLD can read what it says," another commenter pointed out.
"After reading some of these comments it’s clear that most people don’t realize their kids are little a—holes sometimes……" a third commenter chimed in.
But despite naysayer's grumblings, it seems like Emma is completely unbothered.
In fact, in a follow up video the mom even shared that she's always leaving her daughter messages in her food.
Like when she spelled out "crotch goblin" on her daughter's plate.
"Luckily people don't scroll back cos they may see worse…" she wrote in the caption.
"It ain't that deep like," she added to another judgemental commenter. "Get a grip! It's not even a good swear word."
