They Don't Dive Down the Rabbit Hole
We've all been there—down the black hole of YouTube videos. We get stuck in an endless string of related videos and can't stop clicking to the next one. The best loop to get stuck in, in my humble opinion, is anything cat-related. Those kitties get into the most hilarious shenanigans and I could watch their antics all day. So, when I go to share these Internet gems, and someone responds with, "No thanks," I'm shocked! What do you mean, you don't want to watch adorable cats doing adorable cat things?!? It's something that just makes me question everything about those individuals.
They Resist Caring for Animals
It's (hopefully) something that we all instinctively do: help and care for each other, in any way we can. Caring for pets is something that comes naturally to me. Actively choosing not to care for animals is just something my brain doesn't compute. They're cute and furry, and they need your help to thrive. How can anyone possibly resist?
They Avoid Furry Cuddle Buddies
What's it like to lie on the sofa and not have a warm, living blanket on top of you? How is it possible to go to sleep at night without a soft animal next to you? That cuddle buddy is irreplaceable and I can't imagine life without one.
They Don't Engage in Pet Conversation
Having a conversation with your pet is one of life's greatest amusements. They listen to every word you say and offer no contrary opinions. It's the best of both worlds.
They Don't Like the Mess
One of the chief complaints from non-pet-owners is the mess that accumulates from having a pet in the home. There's fur and dirt everywhere, they say. It's disgusting to have an animal mucking up the house, they say. Well, you know what I say? People are just as bad when it comes to making a mess, if not worse.
They Miss Out on Homecomings
"I'm never home. I have no time for a pet." For some people who truly do travel too much and really can't care for an animal, I get it. That's a possibility for some. However, it's definitely not the case for everyone, so using that as an excuse is not cool. Is there any greater joy than coming home to enthusiastic barks and meows? The answer is no, there really isn't.
