Why ‘Too Hot to Handle’ Should Be Every Mom’s Guilty Pleasure

I always think of a guilty pleasure as something I love but am a bit embarrassed to admit. For instance, I don’t actually feel all that much guilt about eating chocolate in the shower, or sitting in my car for a half hour with the seat warmer on, but I do feel a bit of shame in admitting it to people – we all have our stuff that makes us feel vulnerable.

That’s the case with me and the Netflix show Too Hot To Handle, which just dropped its third season. And by dropped I mean it was dropped in front of my face last Friday night as I sat and watched every last drop of it with my teenage daughter.

I saw the first two seasons not really knowing what I was getting into

I watch it for the drama — and I can’t seem to get enough

It’s very easy for me to sit and judge these very horny people (who are much younger than me) underneath my fur throw and unshaven legs. I can’t decide if they have no self-control (we are talking about spending $6,000 just to kiss someone, people!) or if my libido just isn’t what she used to be.

Too Hot to Handle sucks you in because you're dying to see if any of these people — who claim they suck at relationships and have zero interest in one because hooking up is too fun — will actually change and value relationships.

The show takes them through workshops, seminars, and lots of different exercises to see if they can somehow deepen their connections with partners and take their feelings to the next level without humping being the only thing they want to do.

See, you totally want to watch it too now, right?

I should also mention that the host of the show, Lana, is a cone-shaped Alexa (yes, seriously) who watches over them. Her sarcasm makes the show, and you will find yourself laughing at some of the things she comes up with.

So really, if you haven't watched this show yet, and you’ve been thinking about a good way to waste an evening, I invite you to take a seat and enjoy yourself.

I’ll be over here waiting for season 4.
