‘Justice for Aiden’: Toddler Who Defends Himself Against Cousin’s Bites Trends Online

Social media users have got Aiden's back. The adorable toddler calmly took matters into his own hands when his cousin kept trying to bite him, and his mom captured the entire ordeal in a video that has now gone viral on TikTok and Twitter. The internet was introduced to cousins Aiden and Amory when TikTok user Moe Money (@mommamoe21) uploaded the video of the two toddlers playing with each other at home.

In the video, Amory continuously pretends to bite Aiden’s hand. At first, Aiden tries to tap his cousin’s head lightly to get him to stop. But he’s chastised by his family members watching from across the room.

Aiden appears to think carefully about how to handle his cousin.

Viewers can see the wheels turning as Aiden quietly thinks about how to handle the situation before he settles on another course of action. He walks away from his cousin, grabs a toddler-sized plastic chair and lifts it over his head to strike Amory. Once again, his family members intervene, and Aiden obediently puts the chair back down.

"Enough is enough," one user said narrating Aiden's thoughts.

Until children can express themselves fully, adults have a good time interpreting what their actions may mean. With Aiden, we don’t have to do too much guesswork. He wanted his cousin to stop play-biting him. He looked to the adults for a solution, enacted one of his own, and then escalated the matter when he wasn’t getting the results he desired.

While his reaction was a very toddler-like response, more than a few adults could relate to the desire to take it up a notch when your boundaries are not being respected.

People like how Aiden advocated for himself.

Toddlers are hilarious, and this particular video of Aiden getting fed up and going from 0-100 struck a chord with people online. Folks liked that Aiden advocated for himself — even if his approach was a little extreme. People tweeted, “Justice for Aiden,” claiming he didn’t do anything wrong.

Many wondered why Amory’s behavior wasn’t addressed.

Twitter users wondered why Amory was allowed to repeatedly annoy Aiden, intruding on his personal space without reprimand. Since the adults in the room didn’t have any feedback for Amory, Aiden must have assumed he was in the clear to handle the situation on his own.

Mistaking Amory for a girl, someone on Twitter dubbed Amory "Miss Baby Shark," after the campfire earworm of which babies and toddlers never seem to tire.

Aiden and Amory are buddies most of the time.

Moe Money didn’t address the decision to chastise Aiden and not Amory. But in a new TikTok video, she assured users that for the most part, Amory and Aiden get along well with each other. In the comment for the first video, Moe Money asked the 2 million plus people who watched if they wanted to see the two cousins getting along with each other and assured them it’s "not always war."

In the second video, Amory and Aiden dance together, high five one another, wave at the camera, and spin. And most importantly, no furniture was lifted in self-defense.
