Playground games that make parents shake their heads are nothing new. Every few years, it seems like there's a new trend the kids are taking part in during recess at school. But one mom is warning parents of a disturbing "game" some junior high boys are playing.
A concerned mom recently posted a video explaining a trend called the "firetruck game." Her 11-year-old daughter brought the inappropriate activity to her attention, and parents of junior high kids should definitely take note.

A mom's TikTok post warning about the 'firetruck game' has gone viral.
In early April, a mom took to TikTok with a video explaining a disturbing game junior high kids are playing. Her post has attracted more than 2.4 million views and nearly 106,000 likes.
"PSA to parents of children in junior high: My 11-year-old daughter just informed me that the boys are playing a game called the firetruck game," the concerned mother said in the clip.
What is the firetruck game?
The mom proceeded to detail what the firetruck game is, according to what her daughter told her. "She said a boy puts his hand on the lower thigh of a girl and he tells her, 'My hand is a firetruck,'" she explained. "'I'm going to slowly move it up. But when you get uncomfortable, you say "red light."'"
The boy then moves his hand up slowly until the girl becomes uncomfortable and says, "Red light."
The mom continued, "And you know what the little f—ers do? They say, 'Sorry, firetrucks don't stop at red lights.' And they run their hand all the way up until they touch the girl's crotch."

The mom called on parents to 'do better.'
In the clip, the mom acknowledged that "kids will be kids" — however, the behavior in the firetruck game is simply unacceptable. "We've gotta do better at teaching our boys to keep their hands off of other people and teaching our girls that it is OK to have boundaries," she declared.
She later concluded, "So, just be aware if you hear about your kids playing the firetruck game. You have been informed."
In the comments, TikTok users expressed their horror and disgust.
In the comments, TikTok users sounded off.
One person declared, "Press charges."
Another TikTok user commented, "Throat punches are discussed in our house."
Someone else wrote: "We have a game also. Called 'oops your fingers broke.'"
Others shared they've encountered the game in different iterations.
Unfortunately, similar games have been "played" for decades.
One TikTok user shared, "This happened 10 years ago when I was in middle school, too, it was just called 'are you nervous?' game and they would start anywhere but the girls would try to prove they couldn't get nervous, sad tbh."
Another person shared: "This was happening back in 2000. It was called the nervous game back then."
"This was around when I was in middle school 95/96 but it was called do you trust me." someone else commented.
