Kim Kardashian is catching some heat on social media after posting a collection of photos with her 9-year-old daughter, North West. The images, which look like the two are bonding over their shared love of fashion, have been scrutinized, with Kim accused of “exploiting” North and using her as an “accessory.”

Kim shared a carousel of images she took with her daughter, North, and shared them on Instagram.
On May 12, Kim shared several photos to her Instagram featuring herself and North in what appears to be an at-home photo shoot. The two were decked out in Chanel.
Kim wore an all-black crop top that she paired with black leather pants. Kim’s look was accessorized with gold-chained sunglasses, leather gloves, and finished the look with a Chanel purse.
North rocked a similar look to her mom — all black with gold accessories.
Wearing a short jacket and shredded black jeans, she had on a gold chain belt purse, a pair of sunglasses, and also carried a Chanel purse.
Kim posted a series of six photos where Kim and North posed together and apart, often using matching poses, from serious to pouty lips.
Kim captioned the photos: “it’s North’s world, I’m just in it.”
On Reddit, a popular snark page that discusses the Kardashians had a lot to say.
A thread discussing the images Kim shared popped up on Reddit's KUWKSnark with the title “Exploiting your child this way should be illegal. NINE. She’s NINE.”
The original poster certainly didn’t hold back their feelings on the images — and neither did the rest of the community.

On Instagram, while there were still naysayers, there were more positive comments.
“Y’all keep saying she to young for that but I’m trying to figure out what’s so grown about the pictures,” someone questioned.
“She’s actually coming for your throne,” another shared.
“Love your relationship with her,” someone else wrote.
“The best sidekick,” “Future Trendsetter and global icon,” and “So fun. Love y’all’s relationship!” were some other notes left on the photo carousel.
We’re sure Kim is used to ignoring the hate. She has over 355 million people watching her on Instagram alone, and you certainly can’t please everyone.
Lots of comments flooded in with people surprised how young North is, based on the images, and went after Kim’s parenting decisions.
“Damn I keep forgetting she is 9,” someone admitted. “This kid has been pushed so much into the spotlight and used as an accessory. Even her baby photos being in magazines is super weird.”
“Yeah they treat her like she’s 16 lol,” wrote someone else. “I would definitely think she was a teenager looking at these. Even if she was 16 it would still be a lot.”
“I cannot fathom that she is the exact same age as my 9 year old sitting on the living room floor building a lego set right now,” added another. “Insane how different people can grow up.”
“I truly believe the only reason her and Khloe had kids was to capitalize on them,” speculated someone else. “They are accessories. Not human beings.”
It didn’t take long for the criticism to come out.
On Reddit, people started slamming Kim for allowing this photo shoot with her daughter to take place. For the most part, people were upset saying the look was too grown up for a 9-year-old.
Comments accused Kim of using North like a photo shoot prop, and people weren't afraid to share their feelings on social media or Reddit.
