Hosting a slumber party for your kids can be a lot of fun — but it can also be repetitive. You know the drill: put the sleeping bags in the living room, stream a movie, make some popcorn. Not only is it fun for kids, but it’s also a great option for parents, since it gives the kids a dedicated area to hang out just outside of the house (so they’re still close enough for supervision). Hosting your first RV slumber party? Here are some tips to make it really special:
1. Test everything beforehand.
If you’re planning to use the RV’s amenities (like the bathroom and kitchen), make sure to test everything before the party. The last thing you want is to find out something isn’t hooked up properly after the kids arrive.
2. Decorate!
Get in the slumber party spirit with some decorations. Utilize streamers, balloons, and posters to make the space feel really special. Add some signs outside to point kids in the direction of their sleepover.
3. Make it extra cozy.
Sleepovers are all about lounging in PJs and getting comfortable under blankets. Fill the RV with pillows, throw blankets, sleeping bags, stuffed animals, and more. Remind kids to bring their pajamas, slippers, and eye masks!
4. Set up activities outside.
If the weather is nice, set up some games and activities outside so the kids can burn off energy. Keep things simple with a frisbee and cornhole, or go all out with a scavenger hunt or obstacle course.

End the night with a kid-friendly movie in the RV. Pick a movie ahead of time so the kids don’t argue over what to watch. Don’t forget about the movie snacks — if you’re making anything (like popcorn or cookies), consider making them in the house and bringing them out to the RV so the kids can focus on the movie.
