Amanda Bynes is trying something new amid her struggle with mental health. According to what sources close to the former actress tell TMZ, Amanda has checked into a new inpatient mental health facility, and this time it involves a more intensive program.

Amanda recently began a new journey at a new center.
TMZ reported that though Amanda has been receiving outpatient mental health care in Los Angeles, she's decided to go in a different direction. Instead, she checked herself into an inpatient facility in Orange County earlier this month to try something new.
She reportedly believes this will work better for her.

Insiders told the news outlet that Amanda felt that she needed more help than what she was able to receive in the outpatient center, and she now needs something that could be more therapeutic from her than living alone in her apartment, which she's been doing.
She is able to get a 'higher level of care' at her new facility.

Not only is it able to offer her socialization, which she didn't have otherwise, along with 24-hour care, but TMZ reported that she is also able to take part in daily therapy and different activities that wouldn't have been an option at her other center.

it's not clear how long Amanda will be there.

Reportedly, when she will be discharged will depend on when "she feels ready to leave and be on her own again," and she does have her parents for support if she needs them.
All in all, it sounds like this will be a positive change for Amanda.
The news comes after Amanda was placed under a psychiatric hold in June.

Last month, Amanda was placed on a psychiatric hold for the second time this year and detained by police in the process after she was determined to be a danger to herself and others.
It sounds like Amanda is finally going to be able to get the help she needs during what must be a difficult time for her.
