Joy-Anna Duggar isn’t new to receiving public criticism, but that doesn’t mean it’s easy or ever warranted. The latest criticism comes after she shared photos on social media of a camping trip she and her family recently took.
Joy-Anna and her family enjoyed some time in nature.
On Instagram, Joy-Anna shared several photos of a camping getaway she went on with her husband, Austin, and their three kids — Gideon, 5, Evelyn, 3, and Gunner, 5 months.
In the photos, the family looked to be having an incredible time setting up their tents, enjoying snacks, fishing, and making some really great memories together.
They had the best time, it sounds like.
“I could camp every weekend and 10/10 recommend tent camping in the fall,” Joy-Anna wrote in the caption of one of her Instagram posts.
The photos showed the family smiling, and although the weather was a little cooler, camping in the fall is something they all enjoy.
But, of course, people had things to say.
Joy-Anna isn’t new to critics, and they’ve poked fun at so much in her life. So, this trip wasn’t different.
In the comments, people took issue with how their kids were dressed, with a specific concern about Gunner, and for the way the older kids look as well.
They took issue with how Gunner was dressed.
“You’re bundled up but the baby is exposed,” one critic wrote. “Doesn’t make much sense now does it?”
When she got pushback from others on her comment, the same critic added, “Not expecting her to be perfect at all. Just expecting her to have common sense. That isn’t the only picture where he’s exposed and everyone else is bundled up. That’s great she wants to share but that’s also the chance you take when you post a photo that is questionable.”
“Why isn’t the baby dressed,” someone else asked.
There were others in the comments who debated this same topic, whether Gunner was dressed warmly enough.
Others had issue with what all the kids were wearing.
“Keep your daughter clean, she's always dirty,” someone else criticized. “She never has shoes on.”
Someone else replied to that commenter, agreeing with her statement, writing, “Glad someone else said it, I thought the same.”
Another commenter wrote: “They always look so dirty” speaking of Joy-Anna’s kids.
Thankfully, there were others who had Joy-Anna's back.
"I feel bad for these sweet celeb moms trying to share their life with us, but are then expected to be PERFECT and make sure every detail of every photo doesn’t show any signs of them being human beings," one person wrote. "Ridiculous."
