Nearly a decade after Khloé Kardashian decided to end contact with her ex-husband, Lamar Odom, she’s finally getting the closure she’s been looking for. On this week’s season premiere of The Kardashians, Khloé and Lamar sat down for their first conversation in years now that Khloé is ready to “be done with that chapter” of her life and finally put what she shared with him all those years ago in the past.

Khloé decided to meet with Lamar at best friend Malika Haqq’s house and kept their reunion on the down low, worrying that her family (especially mom Kris Jenner) would become too emotional finding out that she was going to see Lamar.
She told Malika that she wished she could return the things she still had that belonged to Lamar to him without having a conversation, but it didn’t seem like that was possible.
“I haven’t had contact with Lamar in nine years and I just think it’s time to shed as much as I can,” she said in a confessional.
When Lamar arrived at Malika’s house, he was visibly nervous. He also came bearing gifts: a bouquet of roses, a bottle of champagne, and a cake in honor of what was once his wedding anniversary with Khloé.
“Just at the first glance of seeing Lamar, I feel a little bit of, ‘God this is so familiar and so uncharted, all at the same time,” Khloé told the cameras. “I don’t know this person anymore. It’s just a mind f—.”

After some awkward silences and surface-level conversation, Khloé was able to give Lamar his stuff.
“Lamar was, and is, definitely someone that I was like, the love of my life,” she said. “I got married when I was 24 and although him and I got married 30 days to the day after meeting one another, I loved him with all of my heart and soul. I took my vows very seriously and I was married for about seven years, but there were bigger things that were not fixable in that marriage.
“I don’t know if I could even put into words what I felt for Lamar,” Khloé added. “It felt like the most special, magical time of my life – the most purest love I’ve ever had. And although there was so much darkness in that marriage, there was the brightest of the bright times. And I love it and I cherish it.”
Although things were going smoothly between them when this week’s episode came to an end, it appears their conversation may end on a sour note, based on the preview for next week’s episode. There’s so much history between them. Was this meet up really going to happen without at least a little bit of drama?
