
Multiple authorities in Florida have been searching for a girl last seen swimming at the beach. Trinity Eslinger was on vacation with her family when she went missing. Within an hour of her last being spotted in the water, an alert was issued and the search began. As it continued, more agencies joined in, expanding their abilities to locate the girl. It has now been several days since she went missing, and there still have been no updates. Her family remains hopeful her body will be found and are asking for everyoneâs help.
The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office shared an aqua alert on June 12, 2025. In the alert, it noted that 10-year-old Trinity Eslinger was last seen swimming while on vacation with her family in Destin, Florida. According to the alert, she was swimming around 7:30 p.m. between Osteen Beach and Norriego Point.
The sheriff’s office shared an update on June 13 noting authorities were still searching âdespite an extensive search effort that took place throughout the morning and afternoonâ in the area where she was last seen. âThe Sheriffâs Office deployed two vessels and ten divers, who conducted a total of 24 dives in an effort to locate Trinity,â the updated shared. In addition to those efforts, they also used a drone unit and Beach Patrol.
âWe are deeply grateful to our public safety partners who joined us in todayâs effort, including three vessels from Eglin Air Force Base, one vessel from Destin Fire Rescue with dive support from North Bay Fire Control District, and multiple vessels with diversâas well as a helicopterâfrom MyFWC Florida Fish and Wildlife, all working in close coordination with OCSO personnel,â the sheriff’s office wrote in the update.
At the end of the update, authorities maintained their commitment to continue searching. âOur hearts are with Trinityâs family, and we join the community in praying for Trinity and her family as well as for strength during this incredibly difficult time.â
Trinity’s aunt launched a GoFundMe account to support the family as the search continues. According to the fundraiser, which has brought in more than $44,000 thus far, the girl was swept away by a current. âHer mom tried with everything in her to save her,â the note on the fundraiser explained.
âAll we want is for Trin to be found so her mom can bring her home. Trinity is such a loving kid; she has a whole life ahead of her. We all looked forward to her turning 11 in just a month or so. She’s supposed to be going to the 5th grade. All she wanted was to have fun,â it added.
On June 15, the Okaloosa County Sheriffâs Office shared another update. âOur deputies, alongside an incredible team of first responder partners, are working around the clock â on the water, in the air, and along the shore,â the statement noted.
âDespite the emotional weight of this mission, the dedication of everyone involved has been unwavering.â The sheriff’s office shared that the search would continue, focusing on the surrounding waterways as well as the coastline.
