Princess Charlotte Stole a Memorable Accessory From Mom Kate Middleton’s Closet

There’s no denying that Kate Middleton has long been considered a royal style icon, but it looks like her daughter, Princess Charlotte, is following in her footsteps – with a little help from her mom’s clothing archive, of course. After the royals shared new photos of Prince William with his three children in honor of Father’s Day over the weekend, People has pointed out something very interesting about Charlotte’s ensemble in one of the photos.

The photos share happy moments between William and his kids, one posed and one that’s just a bit sillier.

“Happy Father’s Day, Papa (before and after!) We love you! G, C & L,” reads the caption on the photo.

In the first photo, we can see that Charlotte is wearing a blue and green tartan scarf as she hugs her dad:

If you think this scarf looks familiar, that’s because it does. In fact, it appears to be the same scarf that Kate wore to Christmas at Sandringham in 2024, so it’s no wonder that it seems to be a bit oversized on her much smaller 10-year-old daughter.

Considering that Charlotte has always seemed to be a little fashionista in the making, it’s no surprise that she’d snag something from Kate’s closet – and it does seem to match her sweater in the photo so well.

Much like her mom, she also loves to add a little bling to her outfits. At Trooping the Colour over the weekend, Charlotte was spotted wearing the horseshoe brooch gifted to her by her late great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, pinned to her dress.

Now we’re wondering if this is the first time she has grabbed something to add to her outfit from Kate’s wardrobe. Charlotte may not fit into clothing her mom’s size quite yet, but when she does, she will have access to one of the most envied closets in the world. No big deal or anything.
