Even at Age 13, People Made Fun of Tallulah Willis for Looking Like Dad Bruce Willis

Today, there are a decent number of internet trolls who like to make fun of Bruce Willis’ daughters for the way that they look — just because they look like their dad. (Is that such a bad thing?) Tallulah has called out the haters in the past, but recently, she targeted the people who made fun of her appearance when she was just a child. Because of the haters, the 31-year-old felt super insecure about her chin for years, but now, she sees it as “the most precious gift.”

Tallulah shared a series of images of herself at a Pulp Fiction 30th anniversary event along with photos of her dad Bruce in Die Hard. In 2023, Bruce’s family announced that he had been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia, or FTD. Since then, Bruce’s adult children, Tallulah, Rumer Willis, and Scout Willis, have periodically taken to social media to reflect on their relationship with their dad and to share heartfelt memories and experiences.

In her October 8 post, Tallulah reflected on how “emotional” she felt looking at the images of her and her dad side by side because of how much they looked alike. “!! My Lordy! if I am NOT this man’s child 💛💛,” she wrote. “Wow this is making me so full and emotional this early Wednesday morning.”

In the next part of the caption, she addressed the haters who “bullied” her when she was just a young teen. “The face, the smile, dare I say it the chin (hey @perez remember when you bullied a 13-year-old for money?) that made me want to end it all, is now the most precious gift I could be bestowed with,” she continued. “I used to not be able to say the word chin out loud.”

Though it’s sad that Tallulah once had such a negative perception of herself, she took the opportunity to reflect on her growth and how she grew to appreciate how much she resembles her father. “[My chin] was my dirty sinful malady, center stage for all the world to see,” she added. “At least that’s what you guys said, over and over and over and over. What a cursed child I was for inheriting this joyful, expressive feature, alive with emotion! I’m angry at the adults they planted the seeds of self hate, and I’m proud of myself for the work I’ve [done] to rip that hate out from the roots!”

In the comments, many people reminded Tallulah that she’s beautiful and agreed that the fact that she looks like her dad is a gift. “You are your father’s daughter and what a GIFT to be able to look in the mirror and see both his and your face looking back,” one person wrote. “It’s a blessing you’ll continue to be grateful for as the years pass by. ❤️”

Last year, Tallulah called out the haters by sharing some of the negative comments she and her sisters received on a video that showed them dancing together. One of the comments read, “It’s like Bruce Willis cloned himself three times lol.” A second shared, “I have always said how do two such gorgeous people have such unattractive daughters… But it’s because they look like their dad!”

Explaining her decision to highlight some of the negative comments, Tallulah wrote, “People always seemed shocked when we share how cruel and mean the comments on us have been our whole lives, so it’s important to me to call out this person to highlight an example of just regular Tuesday c–tyness.”
