The people who get it, get it. And the people who don’t…are often rich and famous and totally out of touch with reality. In this case, we are referring to transgender kids in Hollywood. Sylvester Stallone‘s wife, Jennifer Stallone, made some pretty wild comments about why she thinks the number of trans kids in Hollywood is on the rise, and some people aren’t really sure why she felt the need to chime in.
When she appeared on The Katie Miller Podcast on Oct. 20, 2025, Jennifer said that she feels the atmosphere and lax parenting in Hollywood has led to more kids coming out as trans. Well, to be more exact, she cited a “loosey-goosey” vibe in Hollywood. While that has no science to back up children being trans in the city, or the number of trans children of celebrities being on the rise, apparently, it’s a sentiment that Jennifer is sticking with.

She says it’s all “so loosey-goosey” in Hollywood
During the podcast episode, Jennifer was asked why she thinks “so many” kids of celebrities are now transgender. Jennifer was quick to respond with her views on parenting and structure and how she believes both have played a role in kids coming out more in Hollywood.
“I just think Hollywood is, you know, it’s all about expression,” Jennifer said. “So, you know, however you want to express yourself. If you feel like a cat today, you’re a cat. And it’s so loosey-goosey. I don’t think that we’re really understanding that these kids are not our accessories. They’re little human beings that need structure. And structure is really important for them because it helps their brain organize everything.”
She also said there is often “no structure” in a celebrity home in Hollywood. She added, “And it’s OK what you decide to be as an adult. But raise them just with good common sense.” She then cited the way she raised her own daughters who, she said, were “Tomboys” growing up.
It’s unclear what prompted the question for Jennifer, short of the fact that Jennifer and her family moved from Hollywood to Palm Beach, Fla. in 2024. Though it could have something to do with the Stallone family’s connection to Donald Trump. In November 2024, Sylvester introduced Trump as “the second George Washington” at the Mar-a-Lago America First Policy Institute Gala, per The Palm Beach Post. So, you know, there’s that.
According to the Williams Institute at the UCLA School of Law, due to better data collection at a state level, there is a clearer image than ever of the stats when it comes to trans kids in the United States. The Williams Institute reported that one in five people who are transgender in the U.S. are between the ages of 13 and 17.
“Advances in gender identity data collection over the past five years have provided a more accurate picture of youth in the U.S. who identify as transgender,” Jody L. Herman, senior scholar of Public Policy at the Williams Institute, said in the report. “Previously, we could only estimate that based on adult data. These new estimates show us that current policy debates regarding access to gender-affirming care and the ability to participate in team sports likely impact more youth than we previously thought.”
Does that really back up Jennifer’s claims about celebrities’ kids who have come out as transgender, though? That remains to be seen.
