Gordon Ramsay’s Expletive-Filled Rant Shaming Diners on Weight-Loss Drugs Is as Rude as You’d Expect

No one is ever going to accuse celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay of being soft, and something tells me that’s the way he prefers it. So when he went on a mini rant to The Times about what he calls a potential “Ozempic tasting menu,” it was very on brand for him.

Ramsay’s issue isn’t exactly with people taking a weight-loss injection to combat their GLP-1 for their blood sugar levels. He just doesn’t want to have to cater to people who, he says, should eat less in the first place.

OK, yeah, his rant is as uncomfy as it sounds. He told the outlet that, unlike another restaurant which offered a smaller menu to accommodate smaller appetites, his new restaurant that he was working on in late 2025 would refrain from following the same measure.

I can basically hear Ramsay’s expletive-filled rant in my ears now, with his loud voice booming about why he’s right and others are wrong. I mean, it’s par for the course with Ramsay, but it’s still a bit out of pocket.

Gordon Ramsay’s rant called out those who are on Ozempic.

To play Devil’s advocate (though the Devil definitely has plenty of those, to be fair), maybe Ramsay’s rant is well-placed. Stay with me here. While some patients who use Ozempic or Mounjaro injections daily for health reasons and to obtain a healthy weight, there are celebrities who are rumored to use Ozempic and other drugs like it as a fast weight loss option. For them, I say Ramsay should make as many out of pocket rants as he likes.

But for people who take the prescribed injections for their health, at the order of their healthcare providers, Ramsay did not need to go so hard.

“That is absolute bulls–t,” Ramsay told The Times, of creating a menu with smaller portions for such individuals. “There’s no f—ing way we’re giving in to the Mounjaro jab… The problem is with them [restaurant patrons] for eating too much in the first f—ing place! There’s no way that we’re coming in with an Ozempic tasting menu to make you feel like less of a fat f–k by 10:30 in the evening.”

Despite Gordon Ramsay’s rude comments, people agree with him.

On a Reddit thread about Ramsay’s comments about catering to Ozempic patients and serving smaller portions for each dish, most people agree with Ramsay’s general sentiment. I mean, I don’t think anyone is really using quite as many swear words to get their point across quite like Ramsay, but most are in agreement that people can just eat less and either save their leftovers or share with someone at their table.

“If you’re planning on eating out, you eat less of the food,” one user commented in the thread.

Another person wrote, “I’ve been on a GLP-1 for almost two years and I just ask for a box and then enjoy the rest of the meal later. If I’m on vacation or something and can’t take it with me, so be it. People are so weird about this.”

Someone else who wrote that they are on a “weight loss shot,” added that they are inclined to agree with Ramsay. “Do you eat what you want, and be done,” they commented. “No restaurant should ever have to adjust to anybody coming in and saying they’re on a weight loss shot that’s actually just the dumbest question ever.”

Someone else called out Ramsay for replying in The Times interview in a way to get him more attention.

“It’s obvious rage bait,” they wrote. “No one expects him to, but he’s asked for a headline that’ll elicit this kind of response.”
