Ivanka Trump Shares Family Tribute & People Flood the Comments With Accusations

Pro tip: if your last name is Trump and you have never spoken out in opposition of Donald Trump, please do not post on social media without turning off the comments. When eldest daughter Ivanka Trump posted on Instagram about her work with St. Jude’s Children’s hospital, for anyone else, it would have been met with positive comments from others users. For Ivanka, the comments were a who’s who of Trump haters. I don’t like to victim blame, but if only you had turned off the comments, sis.

In her post, Ivanka shared a photo of herself in a dress that once belonged to her mom. She also shared a photo with brothers Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump and their respective wives. In the caption, she wrote that her family has raised more than $50 million over the years. But nothing, and I mean nothing, overshadows the damage done by the Trump patriarch, and everyone in the comments made sure to remind Ivanka of that.

People want to know how Ivanka sleeps at night.

Although Ivanka’s Instagram post had literally nothing to do with Trump himself, the fact that she is his daughter, supporter, and MAGA member in general did not bode well for her as far as other Instagram users are concerned. That’s the thing with social media. You can be as prolific as possible, but if you have haters, they are going to come for you in the comments.

“Twenty years. Over $50 million raised. Countless children given hope,” Ivanka wrote in the caption of her post. “Last night was a testament to my brother @erictrump big heart and unwavering commitment to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. And though our mother is no longer with us, her spirit filled the room… I felt her especially close, wearing a dress that once belonged to her.”

She also wrote that their mother would be proud of Eric. But most of the comments had nothing to do with what Ivanka wrote. Instead, people came with their digital pitchforks ready to give her a piece of their mind. Does Ivanka actually read her Instagram comments?

I mean, maybe not. But hey, you can’t fault people for trying.

“Does it bother you when your father talks about your body? It should,” one user commented under the post. “It’s creepy and I pray he never abused you like he has others.”

Others asked how Ivanka “sleeps at night” and urged her to get a backbone and call out her father for his wrongdoings, both personally and professionally. I hate to break it to everyone in that comment section, but a few well-timed Instagram comments probably won’t make Ivanka go rogue. Still, people tried.

And, when someone wrote, “Honey let’s not pretend everything is fine shall we,” another person commented, “Just keep your dad away from them and they be safe,” in reference, seemingly, to the children of St. Jude’s.

Someone else referenced Ivanka’s husband Jared Kushner’s involvement in the Middle East and Ukraine conflicts.

“Please ask your spouse not to negotiate with the murderous regime,” they wrote. “Support the people and provide military assistance.”

So yeah, it’s safe to say that turning off the comments is probably in Ivanka’s best interest for the future. Just a hunch.
