After Meghan Markle shared a new video that appears to have been taken in her home garden, critics think she’s trying to emulate Carolyn Bessette Kennedy, and they’re being absolutely ruthless about it. Who knew a headband could stir up this much drama?

Though the post has since expired, of course, the internet is forever, and many have captured screen recordings of the video. Meghan can be seen wearing a black turtleneck and a matching headband, and appears to be in the backyard of her Montecito home as she arranges some flowers in a vase.
Husband Prince Harry, who is the one behind the camera who is recording the video for her, can be heard saying, “It’s beautiful. It’s so pretty and pink.”
People are convinced she’s trying to copy CBK.
That turtleneck/headband combo is really evoking Carolyn Bessette Kennedy’s style, according to Meghan’s critics on Reddit who are convinced that she’s trying to copy CBK on purpose.
“Carolyn [Bessette] Kennedy’s headband and turtle neck/dressing is trending on Tiktok due to the new show so obviously Meghan has to jump in,” one commenter pointed out. “Meghan must be chronically online looking for things to copy in between reading about herself.”
Plenty of others were totally on the same wavelength. One commenter wrote, “Oh look, a Carolyn Bessette style headband. Right after the tv show got all the fashion papers talking about her style and how to replicate it. Desperate to be in the press picture carousel of celebs who have copied Carolyn’s style. And she has already feed it to the press as a talking point to get articles written. She is a ghoul, using the dead for attention. Again.”

With how quickly the series Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette has become popular, there’s no denying that new audiences are being introduced to Carolyn, her lifestyle, and her fashion sense — so maybe that includes Meghan?
Besides, Carolyn and JFK Jr. were a famous couple who people couldn’t keep their eyes off of, so it wouldn’t be surprising if Meghan could relate to her story just a bit, having married into the actual royal family and all.
It’s pretty hot in Montecito right now, so she might want to ditch the turtleneck. But the headband (which was one of CBK’s signature accessories) is totally working for her!
