What to Know
Almost as soon as Jeffrey Epstein was found dead in his jail cell and it was revealed that he died by suicide, there were theories about his death. Conspiracy theorists wondered on social media if someone killed Epstein and covered it up. Others have shared that they wonder if he’s really dead at all. And the latter is where alleged sightings of Epstein come into play.
One sighting on social media that had some users so invested resulted in the man in question making his own video to prove he is not the late financier sex offender. In a post on X, someone shared the photos that people posted to claim the man is Epstein. In the same post, they shared a video that the man took to prove he is just an uncanny lookalike and nothing more. We’ll be the judge of that, thank you very much.
The Jeffrey Epstein lookalike literally made a video to prove he’s not him.
Florida man speaks out: "I am not Jeffrey Epstein"

At some point in early 2026, a video surfaced on TikTok where a man is driving in Florida with the top down on his convertible. Users who re-shared the video immediately assumed and even claimed that the man is actually Epstein, despite Epstein being reported to have died in 2019. But conspiracy theorists are going to theorize, and this video is part of that for some of them.
Then, the man in the video that was taken and then posted and shared across multiple accounts made his own video in response. His video was posted on X. In it, he calls himself “Palm Beach Pete” and his voice is much higher than Epstein’s was in recorded videos. Some theorists might say that’s part of the gimmick, but Pete is here to set the record straight apparently.
“Hey everybody, this is Palm Beach Pete, and my video went viral because some dude randomly filmed me while I was driving on I-95,” he says, as he drives in the video.
He then says that he went viral unexpectedly and, although people think he’s Epstein, he’s just Palm Beach Pete. Unfortunately, though, that wasn’t enough to prove his identity to naysayers on social media.
People still think there’s a bigger Epstein conspiracy here.
@raw_cl1ps A video surfaced showing someone who looks a lot like Jeffrey Epstein driving a car. Do you think it's really him… or just a very strange coincidence? 👀 Jeffrey Epstein was an American financier whose criminal investigations and connections with influential figures made global headlines. His arrest in 2019 and death later that year generated widespread media coverage and ongoing public debate. In this clip, a person who strongly resembles Epstein appears to be driving a car, which has sparked discussion online. What do you think — coincidence or something unusual? 👍 Like the video if you enjoy interesting internet clips 🔔 Subscribe for more viral and mysterious videos 📤 Share this with a friend and let us know your opinion in the comments. #epstein #mystery #coincidence #fyp #unknown #mystery #coincidence #fyp #unknown ♬ Aleph (Gesaffelstein – sped up) – speed up france
If Epstein were still alive in 2026, he would be pushing his mid-70s. The man in the video does not appear to be that age. Then again, the Florida sunshine might agree with him. And after his video was posted on X, people still weren’t totally convinced that he is Palm Beach Pete and not Epstein, the financier who was accused of sex trafficking children.
One X user replied to the post with, “‘I am not Jeffrey Epstein’ sounds exactly like something Jeffrey Epstein would say.” Another joked, “That is something only Jeffrey Epstein would say.”
Over on Pete’s Instagram account, where there are photos of him from over the years, once again proving who he is, conspiracy theorists still aren’t totally sold on what he’s saying.
Under one older photo of Pete, someone commented, “I feel like every photo is AI.” At this point, according to those who believe this guy might actually be Epstein, it’s hard to know what’s real and what’s not.
Jeffrey Epstein “sightings” are everywhere it seems.
@aegis774 Jeffrey Epstein has been spotted in Israel with two bodyguards, and one is his old bodyguard. He's grown his hair and a beard and is wearing shades but it's him and with his old bodyguard. #epsteinfiles #truth #reels #creatorsearchinsights ♬ original sound – Hidden Mysteries
There are some conspiracy theorists who believe Epstein is still alive and that Ghislaine Maxwell is not serving her time in federal prison. Maybe coming up with and feeding these theories makes it a little more palatable to take in what people like them are accused of. Whatever the reason is for people hanging trite onto these wild theories, they never seem to stop coming.
In early 2026, people claimed that Epstein was spotted in Israel, but according to a Reddit post, the photos were proven to be AI-generated. On another Reddit thread, someone wrote that a user on 4chan claimed to be a prison security guard and witness Epstein being taken out of his cell alive to escape prison at the time of his suicide.
Although it’s hard for these conspiracy theorists to find the facts buried deep within these ideas, the theories are never-ending.
