‘Who are We Really Trying To Protect?’: Epstein Victim Says He Recruited Her at 14 — Asked for School IDs

Jeffrey Epstein was the kind of evil that every parent fears. He preyed upon young women with his luxe lifestyle. Hiding behind the money and the homes and the jets was a now-convicted sex offender who partied with political figures and Hollywood legends. The US Department of Justice recently released a heavily redacted portion of the elusive Epstein files. Although many people continue to speculate about who really spent time with Epstein, one of his victims has shared her experience working with the pedophile and recruiting others. It’s utterly disgusting what this man did to innocent children.

The Epstein Files Transparency Act should have helped victims heal and expose Epstein’s equally perverse friends, but that didn’t quite happen. Instead, the powerful remain protected, and the victims have to continue their fight.

Marina Lacerda shared her story with The London Telegraph in disturbing detail. She began working for Epstein at age 14 and was tasked with recruiting others. She alleged that Epstein only wanted girls who had a student ID.

“I did bring him somebody at the age of 18, and he booted her out … He just looked at her and knew she wasn’t the age of 14, 15, or 16. And he really, he was like, ‘Get the f— out’… he was aggressive,” Lacerda, now 37, told the newspaper.

Epstein apparently became so frustrated with Lacerda that he gave her a direct order. “He turned to me, and he was like, ‘I’m done.’ He’s like, ‘You need to start bringing me IDs when you bring girls here … I want school IDs,” she said.

Lacerda’s testimony helped secure Epstein’s indictment in 2019. She’s furious that the government has limited the release to “protect” influential and wealthy men. She recalled working for Epstein in his infamous massage room and listening to him make calls to influential people. Lacerda told The Telegraph that he made it very clear the connections and power he had.

Lacerda said Epstein would “talk business and would always bring up the fact like, ‘oh, you know, I have this nice, young, beautiful girl giving me a massage.’”

Then he’d make her get on the phone to say hello. According to Lacerda, Epstein never explicitly shared the girls’ ages with his connections.

She said the recent redacted release of the files is an outrage. Lacerda wants everything released and the names disclosed.

“It’s almost like a joke, right? Like, we have to look at it as it’s like, this has to be a comedy show,” she told the newspaper. “Like, why did you even put out all these files?”

Lacerda, like millions of others, has one big question. “Who are we really trying to protect? Are we protecting survivors, or are we protecting these powerful men? … We’re tired of it. It’s gotten to the point where, you know, we’ve protected these powerful men for a long time,” she added.

Lacerda ultimately left Epstein because she could no longer bring herself to recruit other young girls into his sadistic lair. He’s gone, but the damage he did will remain in these women’s lives forever. How can a person like that have so much power in death? It’s time to name names.
