Pete Davidson’s Joke About His 4-Month-Old Daughter Has the Internet Disgusted

It’s funny because we might all be a little better off if we lived in a world where people didn’t feel the need to say exactly what they were thinking out loud, especially if it’s a joke about their kid that doesn’t land. Even though actor and comedian Pete Davidson has had nothing but decent comic timing during his Saturday Night Live days, things may have changed a bit since becoming a dad. At a recent comedy show, Pete shared some fatherly perspective on adjusting to having a baby girl at home. Let’s say his habits when watching adult entertainment may have changed. Or maybe they haven’t and probably should!

Pete Davidson made a bad joke about trying to watch porn after becoming a girl dad.

Sometimes people really aren’t capable of change, even when things are supposed to shift in the most seamless of ways when you become a parent.

According to Us Weekly, Pete Davidson was on hand for a comedy show on April 11, 2026, at the Fontainebleau in Las Vegas, and things went to kind of an awkward place when he started discussing being a dad to a 4-month-old baby girl.

“I haven’t done stand-up in 5 months because I just had a baby; it’s a lot of fun,” Pete said in footage obtained by the magazine. “[I] got a little girl. It’s weird having a little girl. It’s hard to watch porn … in front of her,” he joked.

He finished off his awkward joke by telling the crowd that he persisted. “I still did. I power through,” he shared.

This is such a weird thing to joke about, even when you’re a comedian. We really can’t help but wonder if the crowd in the comedy club even laughed or just awkwardly looked around at one another.

Pete’s NSFW joke about his daughter did not land well with a lot of people.

It’s kind of nice to know that not everyone is up to just laugh along at an inappropriate joke.

In a recent Reddit thread, there are a bunch of comments from people who are just not into men making light of this type of thing, especially considering that Pete’s now a dad.

One Redditor was repulsed by Pete’s inappropriate joke and even pointed out that it’s exactly this kind of thing that makes her distrust men in general. “Gross??? I’m really sick of this take even as a joke. It’s legitimately making me not trust men. I don’t want to get married and have a child with a man who would say that,” they wrote. We honestly can’t help but wonder how Pete’s partner, Elsie Hewitt, felt about his joke.

Another person in the Reddit comment section discussed how saying things like this in 2026 is just not okay. “I feel like it’s a pretty obvious choice (especially considering the cultural moment) to not make jokes like this,” they wrote.

Another person couldn’t help themselves in the reply thread by stating, “Classic Pete Davidson. He can make extremely inappropriate jokes but never funny inappropriate jokes.” Touché!

Apparently, this is not Pete’s first time making a derogatory comment about women.

In a different Reddit thread that’s a couple of years old, Pete Davidson is called out for his routine use of referring to women as the c-word.

The thread discussed how Pete Davidson left an aggressive voicemail for a woman who worked for PETA in 2023, after the organization came for him after he bought a puppy from an NYC pet shop instead of adopting.

The Reddit thread discussed how Pete called the PETA employee a c-word, but a lot of people missed it because the entertainment news outlet bleeped it. The person posting this Reddit thread also discussed how the comedian allegedly called a woman in the audience of a comedy tour a derogatory term.

Someone in the comments discussed how using this kind of language can often snowball and make people think it’s okay when it’s not. “Cue people making flimsy “but everyone’s doing it!” excuses for their misogynist language choices,” they wrote. That’s a really fair point.

Perhaps Pete should take some time to think about how he would feel if someone ever said these kind of jokes and comments towards his daughter. It’s kind of sad to think that you need to show a grown man and father how to develop basic respect and empathy towards women, but hey, we seem to be stuck in that kind of timeline.
