There’s nothing like a little father-daughter time while taking in the breathtaking sights of nature, right? Well, in this instance, you’d be wrong. Acting veteran, Kevin Bacon, took to his Instagram to share a funny story about what went down when he went on a recent hike with his daughter, Sosie Bacon. They were enjoying a walk through nature when they came across a beehive. Even after Sosie warned her dad to be mindful of the bees, they immediately began to attack the Footloose star. In the Instagram video that Kevin posted, he even has his daughter reenact the bee sting dance he effortlessly performed while being attacked.
Kevin Bacon opened up on Instagram about a recent hike he took with his daughter.
In a recent Instagram post, Kevin Bacon shared a funny little storytime with his followers about what happened on a hike he took with his daughter, Sosie Bacon, and her partner, Scoot McNairy. “Scoot was in the front, Sosie was in the middle, and I was holding up the rear. Scoot points out to the left that there’s a beehive over there, and Sosie says, ‘Dad, hey, there’s a beehive, watch out,'” Kevin shared to set the scene.
That was when things got real. Despite the warning, the bees decided to suddenly swarm the actor. “So these bees, they must not have liked my work or something, ’cause they left the two of them alone and they went full-on after me. “‘Let’s attack KB.’ Bees stinging me everywhere, including underneath my shirt,” Kevin recalled.
Kevin’s daughter, Sosie, reenacted his “epic bee sting dance” for Instagram.
Kevin went on to share that he feels grateful that his daughter didn’t take out her phone to record the bee swarming incident, but he was hopeful that she accurately remembered what happened that day. “I asked her if there was any way that she could recreate it from memory,” Kevin said with a grin.
Then, Sosie appears on camera, and begins an erratic and flailing bee swarming dance that can only be described as hilariously chaotic. Her limbs are going all over the place as she tries to swat away imaginary bees. Towards the end, she even takes off her hat and shirt, which was likely representative of Kevin’s attempt to get the bees out from underneath his shirt.
The comments section on Kevin’s Instagram post is the place to be because you catch a glimpse of some of Kevin’s very famous friends and loved ones sharing their perspective on the bee swarming incident reenactment.
Actress, Kyra Sedgwick, who is Kevin’s longtime wife and Sosie’s mom, wrote, “Soooooo gooood!! 😂😂.” Actress and friend of the couple, Mary Steenburgen, shared her thoughts, “Perfect!!!! Love to you all!!!😍” Even Sosie Bacon chimed in to tell everyone that her interpretation was pretty much spot on for what happened that day. “It was nothing more nothing less than that very dance,” she commented. Too funny.
Kevin and his daughter are no stranger to sharing dance videos together on TikTok.
In late 2022, Kevin Bacon shared a sweet video to his TikTok page that showed him and his daughter, Sosie, dancing to none other than Meghan Trainor. The caption for the video read: “I’m just a man in his crocs, standing with his daughter @rudieruthie, making you look #MadeYouLook.”
The pair are both super casual in jeans and T-shirt while Kevin sports a pair of Crocs on his feet for the dance. Of course, they’re both also wearing sunglasses, which Meghan wears in the music video for her song, “Made You Look.”
What stands out to a lot of people in the TikTok comments is how good Kevin can move to the music. “Why am I so impressed and shocked that KEVIN BACON did the dance better than his daughter??? I shouldn’t be, but I am!” one person wrote. Another person shared nothing but love for the father of two. “Kevin, you are one of the coolest dads around. Great father-daughter relationship,” they shared.
