What to Know
To some, it looks like Donald Trump is wasting away, one discolored or disfigured hand at a time. Because yet another photo of his sickly hand was posted on X (formerly Twitter), and it’s hard to ignore how concerning it is. Even if you aren’t concerned for Trump, the disfigured and splotchy hand that is being but bloated at the same time is a sight to behold.
Now, people are once again talking about Trump’s health and what his hand means for other conditions he may or may not have. He just flew across the world to China, so apparently he wasn’t medically advised to avoid high altitude. But still, that hand has a lot of people discussing what’s next when it comes to Trump’s health.

The user on X who shared a close-up of Trump’s hand on May 13, 2026 wrote, “a look at Trump’s disfigured right hand” and noted that the picture was taken the day before. Naturally, people flooded the post with comments about why they believe Trump’s hand looks the way it does. Some even added zoomed in versions of the same photo to point out even more irregularities with Trump’s hand.
“Damn. That needs more than makeup,” someone wrote in response to the post. “It is definitely getting worse. It needs to be treated but of course then everyone would find out what he has.”
An X user also wrote, “Trump’s haters keep dying and Trump keeps living. Your wishful thoughts aren’t working.”
Someone also joked, “I think I figured out what’s been going on with his hands. Ever since Rubio accused him of having small hands, Trump has been enduring injections to make them bigger.”
Some believe it’s more serious than he lets on.

While some joked that Trump has leprosy, others insisted in responses to the X post that the president has some illness he has chosen not to reveal to the public. Why he would choose to keep it a secret when he has proven that putting his life in danger only causes his supporters to follow him even more closely is unclear.
A user with apparent experience as someone close to Trump’s age wrote, “I’m 70. My hand looks just like that. I have ulnar nerve damage.”
Another person pointed out what they see as a “hole” in his hand, while some claimed it’s “vein collapse.” Either way, it seems to be a serious cause for concern because of the gnarly way it looks in the photo.
But people tend to be pretty un-serious where Trump is concerned. “Remember when some laboratory grew a human ear on a mouse?” A user wrote. “Maybe he’s losing his hearing and they have genetically modified his hands to grow ears.”
Others chalked it up to his very old age.
Then again, Trump is also pushing 80. Short of someone like Kris Jenner, whose hands still look like they have aged, there really isn’t anyone who is elderly and doesn’t have the hands to prove it.
“It’s called being old and wrinkly,” a commenter also wrote on X.
Another added, “The White House had to admit Trump has chronic venous insufficiency. His body shows what they tried to hide: swelling hands, bruises under makeup. The lesions they called preventative care. A 79-year-old man rots at the empire’s podium & we’re told to act like all is well.”
Could Trump’s discolored and slightly gnarled but also bloated hands just be the result of aging like spoiled milk? Again, that’s totally possible at this point.
