Sometimes when you’re out enjoying a day with the family, there comes a moment that just sneaks right up on you and you find that you’re in desperate need of a bathroom. How would you react if there was no bathroom nearby and you could quickly relieve yourself in the bushes? Now, what if those bushes were right smack dab in the middle of a Disney park? Kind of changes things, doesn’t it? A video has recently gone viral as it features a dad hopping off a packed safari bus in Animal Kingdom to quickly go pee in the bushes while the rest of the bus waits for him. There’s some rumblings by some folks on the bus who were predicting that he’ll get kicked out of the park for this behavior.
A dad has gone viral for hopping off a safari bus to go pee in some nearby bushes while touring Animal Kingdom at Disney.
In a video shared on TikTok by @itsedwinlv, the footage begins by sharing a grown man from behind peeing at a distance in some bushes. When you take a closer look at the video and check the location, you’re able to quickly determine that this man is in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park while this is happening.
As he proceeds to take a rather long pee break, the onlookers who are waiting for him to return to the safari bus are heard talking amongst themselves. One person can be heard saying, “They’re going to kick him out of the park now.” Another person on the bus asked, “Why is he doing that?” Another adult on the bus couldn’t help but ask, “In front of everybody?”
A child who was traveling with this person can be heard saying, “Daddy! Hurry up!” When he finally returns to the safari bus, the dad can be heard saying, “I’m super sorry, I had to.” So, it appears that he felt it was an emergency situation, but what about the rest of the bus and the children who had to see that?
The comments section is filled with folks who simply cannot fathom this behavior at a park filled with kids.
The poster captioned the TikTok video with “So this happened today at Animal Kingdom during the Safari Ride. Disney staff waited for him at the end of the ride.” We really can’t help but wonder what ended up being the conversation with this dad at the end of the safari ride after his behavior. One person in the comments shared their perspective, “As a former Disney safari driver yeah that’s not good.”
One person in the TikTok comments predicted a harsh punishment. “That’s a lifetime ban right there,” they wrote. Another wondered if things could get taken to a crimimal level. “Well those are indecent exposure charges too,” they commented. Another individual couldn’t quite believe that this man decided to do this with all of the kids on the bus right behind him. They wrote, “In front of all the KIDS?!! absolutely not.”
Other’s couldn’t get over that the dad would behave this way when their child was present. One person shared, “That poor baby had to listen to everyone talk about his daddy.” Another commenter shared, “That poor kids whole day/trip ruined.” How incredibly uncomfortable and distasteful for everyone.
Some people on Reddit are saying that the dad should have just wet his pants rather than doing what he did.
In this Reddit thread, there are lots of people discussing if there was a better option that could have been practiced here. Most would have been able to hold it while some are talking about how perhaps the dad should have just peed his pants, if things were that dire.
One person shared, “Bro what are we even doing here? If its really really that bad just pee your pants? Obviously not the best solution but somehow its way better than jumping into an animal enclosure. Why would you endanger yourself like that?” Things could have gotten to a scary level if there were animals nearby. Another individual in this Reddit thread seems to think a wet seat would have been a better idea. “Better to pee your pants than trying to get off the ride,” they wrote.
Another person in the thread didn’t appreciate the dad’s display of arrogance. “Rules don’t apply to me” on full display here. Really hoping WDW arrested and banned him,” they wrote. There was also some curiosity about what things were like when the safari bus started moving again after that display. They wrote, “That must’ve been an awkward ride back… can’t imagine anything other than dead silence.”
What an all-around awkward situation that really could have been avoided, especially if the dad had visited a public washroom before even stepping on the ride!
